Barry Sanders Nike Zoom Turf Retro
Posted by Matt Halfhill | Jan 12, 2007| In the mid 90s, not only was Nike at the top of its game with the basketball sneakers and the Air Jordans, but Nike’s turf shoe game was at its best. Some of the most legendary turf shoes were made from 94-98.
One of the legendary, and most saught after, turf shoes were worn by a man who played more than half of his games indoor - Barry Sanders. The Zoom Turf had everything Barry needed. A sole with great grip to make quick cuts, responsive Zoom Air cushioning, good lateral support, and most important the shoes look good! Pics taken at Motive807. 710 Brazos |

This shoe was the best shoe of all time IMO. Kind of surprising is I thought this was the best basketball shoe as well that I ever played on. I used it in my my sophmore and junior season playing high school basketball. For me it felt like I wasnt wearing a shoe, and it felt like I jumped higher in this shoe than any other I ever wore. Classic.

The thing about the retro’s is that the entire shoe isn’t the soft suede like the originals. I have a pair of the originals still in perfect shape. I think 2 yrs ago they released these again and the quality jsut isn’t there.
