No, Mike Jordan was not part of this and neither were any basketball shoes. If you knew your Nike history, you would know that the American sporting craze of the 1970s brought in some large funds in early for Nike. The retro look is in, but now you can wear a part of early Nike history without stalking the local Goodwill or hoping to score that fungus infested pair on eBay with the title of “used running shoes.” There’s a great amount of reading and looking to do at a special section Complex put together about the famous early Nike running kicks. |
