Nintendo x Run Athletics Legacy
Posted by Matt Halfhill | Sep 21, 2007| Relatively speaking, Run Athletics is still in its infancy in the sneaker market when you compare it to companies that have decades more experience. Given the brands youth, what they have accomplished has been even more impressive. Run Athletics has done most of their work off of one model, The Legacy, and catches our attention yet again with an official collaboration with Nintendo.
Some of you youngin’s were born into the age of Super Nintendo or even N-64, but this shoe pays homage to the days of the OG Nintendo. (And for those who sported the old system, does anyone else remember having to blow on the cartridges every time you played them?) Run Athletics and Nintendo will be throwing a party for the release of the sneakers at the Nintendo World Store in Rockerfeller Plaza. The event will run from 7-10PM hosted by the one and only Rev Run. Music will be taken care of by sneaker enthusiast DJ Clark Kent as well as live performances by Eric Sermon and the Def Squad. This is an invite only affair, but we have a few spots. RSVP to rsvp@gofigureagency.com. |
