Air Jordan XX3 (Jordan 23) Update!
Posted by Matt Halfhill | Nov 2, 2007| The Air Jordan XX3 (Jordan 23) is a ground breaking shoe like many of the other Air Jordans. MJ and JB took strides forward with sustainability producing the shoe without the use of any glue - the first of its kind for a performance basketball shoe. This was accomplished with complex and fine tuned engineering from none other than Tinker Hatfield. The stitching on the side of the shoe adds strength to the shoe, but also makes it much harder to bootleg - something else that JB took into consideration when making these shoes.The Titanium Jordan XX3 was released on January 25th to only 23 stores who only received 23 pairs. Oh yeah, the price $230 - catch the Jordan 23 theme? The first Jordan XX3 released was the White/Titanium-University Blue colorway, but there will be more colorways of the Jordan 23 coming in the future. Surely they will improve on these…you’d hope! The lower part looks sharp and not too bad, but they gotta get rid of that cheap dull look about them. They are too plain, cheap and dull for his final shoe. He finishes games and plays better than this final shoe. I expected more out of a final Jordan shoe. They have to liven up and add to it. Would be good to see in diff colour and coordination. Have to liven it up like he does at the end of games of old. it’s gotta show out more somehow! I think the lace to tongue looks good with the bottom part. A sharp shoe like this can’t be dull as it is and the top and bottom colour coordination is not a good mix. This shoe looks out of whack so to speak..

These are some of the most innovative J’s that have been put out in a while! Not too futuristic and not too plain … What can you bring to a Jordan that hasn’t been brought out before? Except maybe actually put wings on it! Those of you whos ay that these are not a great look for Jordans’ just remember that some things take a little time and understanding before it become a classic. Not all things that hit the streets are instant classics … look @ the Denver Nuggets Jersey or the Cincinnati Bengals uniform … But they are all over the place aren’t they? It wss new an innovative … the Miami Hurricanes has changed their uniform every year for the past 3 years and nobody cares but if it’s a ordan everyone will pay close attention!

^ well technically they aren’t the first. There was a considered version of the Huarache 2k5, but I am sure the argument is that it was designed to aesthetically look like the 2k5 and not perform like its non-considered counterpart.

I’m a Jordan collector and I can honestly say these are horrible. It would be nice if they released these in the tradition Black and white or red and black for this release. They look like something Kevin Garnett or Tracey McGrady’s people would make lol.

These r hype but they def are better lookin in black and red. I think that Tinker Hatfield (the main go to guy Jordan had designing for the last 25 years)should look into designing a shoe styled after public input. Jordan’s designs need to stop coming from Tinker’s architecture backround. a People with $$ will buy these but the design could be better

The black ones are the best but all of em’ are amazing. I got the white ones and I’m getting the black. Jordan is a lifestyle. If you don’t like em, start rocking Lebron’s. J’s aint no clown shoes. These joints really had to grow on me, (like all jays….except the 11’s) but these are revolutionary, his two fingaprnts on da bottom, plaid print on a funkin basketball shoe. i mean he was the first to do the patent leather, the first to do the suede, so what other than this should you expect, i do wish the toungue was wider and was cut like a 1/2 inch higher. but i couldn’t have designed a better shoe to actually be given the name XXIII. ENOUGH SAID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
