Five years ago, Nike released a Lux line of retro products that were less than a mortgage payment per pair. The initial lineup featured the Air Force 1 high, Air Trainer SC, and Air Max 95 in a solid black color up dressed in fine Italian leather. Since the initial Lux release, Nike has made several releases of the Air Force Ones, but the Air Max has not seen the same love until now.

As reported by Life88 of NikeTalk, Nike will be releasing a Lux model of the Air Max 97 which is to feature an almost entirely covered upper in reflective 3M unlike any other Air Max 97 has ever seen. At this point no confirmations can be given, but Air Max 97 fans have been sitting on the sidelines for quite some time with so much retro and sport culture effort being dumped into every other model except the ‘97.
