Air Jordan 17 Black/Metallic Silver Countdown Package
Posted by Matt Halfhill | Feb 3, 2008| Just last week we gave you a first look of the Jordan 6 Carmines that will be part of the Jordan 17/6 Countdown Package. Today we have received shots of the other half of the package - the Black/Metallic Silver Jordan 17.
This time around Jordan uses a black nubuck for the upper rather than smooth leather. For heads this is something of a blessing since the smooth leather on the originals wrinkled quite easily leaving permanent creases with minimal wear. Frankly, we would have rather seen the White/Blue or White/Red color drop, but Jordan Brand has to keep us hungry for more past ‘08 right? Look for these and the Carmine 6’s to drop May 24th. im feelin that package especially the 2’s. I had the low cuts of that shoe a few yerars back.

this pretty much sells this package for me. im really happy with the 6s and the 17s are nice too.

The originals looked soooo much better. The leather is what brung out the sneaker, regardless if it got creases when you walked. If you kno how to take care of shoes it shouldnt have been a problem

So far this is my favorite package out of the 3 that I have seen both colors for. I was looking forward to this package as well as the Jordan 16/7 package as well. I would have preferred to see White/Red since there are a lot of black based shoes coming this year, but I guess I’ll have to wait another year or two

Not a fan of ANY Jordans past the 14’s,so these shoes I will sell for like $50.Oh yeah,not a Jordan Brand fan either,strickly NIKE fan.Oh when will I see the 3’s,4’s,5’s,6′ with NIKE in the back being released again!???? I love most of the Black/Metallic colorways. Red just isnt my color. How is the box going to look like? They should make a box similar to the box the 17s came in.

bad experiences with nubuck, but I like them. These are really nice, probably one of my favorites out of the 15-23 bunch.

hey JP,On april is going to be the 2(white and red) and the 21 (black and ?)This package is a most!!! Those 6 are the real deal…..long time witing for it(1991).Before i don’t like too much the 17′but this are NICE DONE…..The nubuck is ok.I got the 18 in black and they look like new….. Not feeling these at all. Package will be copped strictly because of the Carmine VI’s. I know the leather ones creased easily but the nubuck makes them look too worn. These will be definitely be sold

i just bought the 17/6 package yesterday, i love the 6 carmines!! lol but yea i wore the 17s today, cant figure how to lace it like the way it is in the pic, i took the top part over the laces off though lol it looked weird.
