Air Jordan Classic ‘87 “Jordan 3″
Posted by Matt Halfhill | Mar 21, 2008| It has been a long time since the Air Jordan 3 released in the Black/Red-Cement colorway in 2001. Still to date it is one of the most sought after retros selling for as high as $600 in deadstock condition.
Jordan Brand has been treating some of their new creations with the inspiration of old classics. Earlier this week we gave you a side by side comparison between the Jordan 8 & Jordan 11 inspired Air Jordan Flight 23, but just released is the Jordan 3 inspired Classic ‘87. Though for the purists this doesn’t satisfy the craving for the Jordan 3, but priced at $105, this is a quite reasonable compromise. I’m with this. At least I could wear them with a clear frame of mind. Heads are paying top dollar for deadstock shoes. Which reminds me… If you need the Zen gray/French Blue 9s from 2001 in deadstock 13 get at me.

They look straight from the back but overall they look like some Jordan bowling shoes, which if they were i would cop.

these are decent. ya kno wha i dont like bout sneaker heads. da fact that you guys are always hatin on someones kicks if they aint jordans, dunks, or nike. stop hatin kuz not everyone has da money to cop a pair of jayz dat runs close to 2 bills. as long as they even got kicks on and they’re clean. das all dat matters. grow up!!

Nah its not about hatin on people that doesnt have the swoosh on, its just hatin on the fact that Jordan has BSed their Original fanbase by pumping out crap like those above to satisfy the Beasts and kids and not meeting the demands of Original Collectors who lived through to cop them. Its shoes like those above that made me quit the game awhile ago.

And I’m not talking about those REAL, true hearted collectors. that has a strong passionate feeling for collecting da original tru ish. Im talkin about those sneaker fiends. who also has a passion for collecting BUT they also hate on those dat ain’t got da swoosh. they may not say it to the person out loud but. thinkin in their head “man why wud u rock a pair of kickz like that??” den they go home, go on aim or myspace n tell their frens. “man i saw dis kid wit dis wack asz kickz” das juz wrong u feel me? imo. da only think i don’t like bout jb is some of da colorways they put together. they’re wack and juz fugly. but if they wanna retro any of da og then they shud mos def do so. so kids in this generation has a chance to cop a pair of kickz dat they didnt get to cop wen it 1st came out. =D alil off topic. my bad. im juz passionate and very opininated bout sneakers lifestyle.

^^^ Sounds like a deep-rooted personal hurt. Did you lack the resources to buy expensive shoes as a kid and as a result got made fun of? In any event I agree that there are other hot kicks besides J’s/Nikes that are in a lower cost bracket.
