Nike Air Tech Challenge II “Hot Lava”
Posted by Matt Halfhill | Mar 20, 2008| Last spring saw the long awaited and much anticipated re-release of the Nike Air Tech Challenge. Though it was great to see the shoe make a comeback, major changes were made to the hue of the “hot lime” to essentially a “maize” yellow.
News broke last fall that Nike would follow up with another Agassi retro - the Nike Air Tech Challenge II. Learning from their mistakes that led to the Air Tech Challenge making its way to outlets, Nike created them just like the original ATC II’s with the “hot lava” color on point. These Air Tech Challenge II’s anchor a collection of kicks that release this month with the “hot lava” color. Long Beach heads can get their fix of these kicks at Proper. |

Hi people im Jnr if any of you want O.G kicks and are willing to pay the price then call me as i have Jordans,Tech Challenge,Footscapes,Max 95,Patric Ewings,Reebok pump furys,Huraches + more and are all O.G differnt sizes in some are available.

Miles is right. The OG yellow ATCs came out after the OG hot lava ATCs. The Lava is the ATC II and the yellow are ATC IIIs. And the comparison pictures from the nicekicks link you posted are wrong. Look at pictures online of Agassi wearing the yellow ATCs and you will see. The “neon” pair in the comparison are much more “neon” than what Agassi himself wore.

^ Totally wrong, eh? Where did we say that the ATC II came out before the one that dropped last year.
The yellow on last spring’s ATC is far from being “almost identical” to the OGs. Take a look at the side by side where you can see the OG and retro next to each other.

You guys have it totally wrong.
First, this new (pink) shoe originally came out before the yellow. By a year. And it was way more popular. The Air Tech Challenge (yellow) they made last spring was actually the third ATC model.
Second, the yellow from last spring’s ATC is almost identical to the OG’s. Some of the production photos were off, but by the time the shoe came out the color was correct, almost perfect. I know cause I had ‘em. The only differences were the missing tennis ball on the back and the small black section was turned white. Otherwise it was right on.

The Purple and Orange Challenge I colorway is ok. I got it in October for $49.99. I’m sorry everytime I look at that Piss poor effort in yellow it makes me think of how off it is when thoughts of the original are invoked.
Peep the Lava colorway of the Airmax 95…quite fresh.

I agree. I can get over the colors being off for $30. Unlike alot of hypebeasts, I like the shoe, not just the loud color.
