Nike Zoom Spiridon Air Force Ones
Posted by Matt Halfhill | Mar 17, 2008| Zoom Air was only a couple years old when it made its way into running shoes. The Nike Zoom Spiridon was one of the first running shoes to feature the low profile, super responsive cushioning system. Zoom Air was the answer that many runners had been looking for. Being lower profile, the runner’s foot could sit lower to the ground giving them more control and stability. Zoom Air was extremely light weight as opposed to Max Air which was bulky and heavy due to the amount of carbon rubber needed to protect the air units.
The Nike Zoom Spiridon first debuted in 1997 but has since made a retro return in 2005. Like other Zoom Air running cousins including the Zoom Haven, Talaria, and Seismic, it has somewhat of a cult following of loyalists who swear by its comfort and unique look. The Spiridon is coming back next month in the form of an Air Force One low with touches such as a 3M striped back top, metallic red swoosh, and breathable grey mesh panels on the upper and tongue. Unlike prior seen samples, it appears that Nike left the lasering off of the white rubber sidewalls. These will be $125 when they release April 5th. For more Air Force 1 release info, check out the Air Force 1 release dates. Pics thanks to Mita / High Snobiety. |

They look great, for a pair of AF1 but they didn’t worth the original Zoom Spiridon, it’s clearely the most comfortable sneaker i ever had…actually if i could find them,i would buy 3-4 pairs str8

I think sneakFreak, and mtownzfinest1, are prime examples of people that i dislike in my town. According to the dictionary that i possess…An opinion is a person’s ideas and thoughts towards something. It is an assessment, judgment or evaluation of something. An opinion is not a fact, because opinions are either not falsifiable, or the opinion has not been proven or verified. If it later becomes proven or verified, it is no longer an opinion, but a fact.
THEREFORE, IF I WANT TO EXPRESS AN OPINION, THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT I AM GOING TO DO…LIKE IT OR NOT. I DON’T COME ON HERE TRYING TO BELITTLE PEOPLE THINKING I AM BETTER THAN SOMEONE. I’m not feeling this version as much as the other sample pics I’ve seen. They should have left the lasering on the sidewall. And the swoosh looks different too. It’s TOO red. The OG Spiridons and the other samples had more of an orange tint to the swoosh that I prefer over these.
