Air Jordan 6 Olympic Collection
Posted by Matt Halfhill | May 6, 2008 Eight years ago, Ray Allen wore the Olympic Jordan 6 in a special Olympic color up for the Sydney Games where Team USA took its last Gold Medal in Men’s Basketball. Since then the team has had some “issues”, but hopefully the blessing of another Olympic inspired Jordan 6 can turn things around.
This Jordan 6 is not made to match Team USA’s uniform but rather the Olympic Flag. Each of the 6 colors of the flag (5 rings + white background) are represented on this special edition sneaker. A first for the Jordan 6, the shoe is dressed in white patent leather and features a unique stitching detail on the toe that is similar to on a pair Melo will be wearing during the Games (can’t say yet). I’ve seen so many people hate on this shoe, yet they’ll be in line camping out for these, and throw them up on EBay, asking 3-4 times retail with the quickness.
Personally, I like these. I feel that the concept was executed properly and that the design on the toe is very interesting. My only qualm is white patent leather, but hey, everything can’t perfect like that Jordan 11, lol

when i see them, my jaw drops. BUT…. then i see the fairy design on the toe……… WTF is that. they will most likely be harder to find then the DMPs. they haven’t released any retros alone yet. i say they go for like 400$ at the stores.i like the colors, it looks old school, but that lil gay drawing on the front really makes me think twice. now all you need is a tutu, a magic wand and some fairy dust n wings, then you can have air jordan retro 6 gay edition

1- is a 6 (holy grail).
2- i can live with the stiching.
3- to much color on the tongue (black,yellow and red air jordan letters was enough.
4- why don’t be simple on the back of the shoes (jumpman logo ) it would look better if it would be one color only).
5- olympic!!!!
6- the sole is ok looks niec with all the colors…give you more option to wear it.
7- im 50/50 in to coop it.

Jordan is starting to get a little out of pocket, they diffently thinking outside the box nowanddays but are they serious. Has an old school Jordan head, Jordan is really starting to disappoint me. These bubble gum ass kicks are terrible, the toe design is wack. What happened to the good old days where Retros were classics, with maybe a new colorway here or there. Now Jordans are preschoolers coloring time. There are hundreds of color combos, that would kill, and Team Jordan with Skilles on us…..WOW. Pass

I just thought id point out the inspiration behind this BESIDES the olympic flag. Jordan always liked the clean toe because it reminded him of dress shoes. It looks like theyre trying to do something similar to a dress shoe with that stitching on the toe (like alot of dress shoes have) and the patent leather (like alot of dress shoes have). I still don’t like the way those look on the VI tho, so I’m not defending it, just pointing it out, because no one seems to realize that.

Yes Jordan brand releases somme awful colorways, however this is not one of them. I would use some royal blue shoe strings though. That toe box is a little “extra” but you can barely see it.

Brand Jordan should of never used patent leather on the Olympic 6’s and the stitching on the front makes em look like variants from China. I’ll buy a pair jusT to say I have em, but u wont see em on my feet-^HDAPPERSUAVE^

The 6 are one of my fav’s for sure, but these are pretty weak. $150 is not bad considering the price of these will inflate in a couple of years, so a possibly good investment also. Won’t buy to rock though.
