Hiroshi Fujiwara x Nike SB P-Rod II “Rainbow”

Before going in too deep (pause), we would like to state that what one does in their own personal life is their own personal business and in no way do we see any humor or judge in anyway one’s personal life. P-Rod made serape blanket editions of his own kicks to honor his Mexican heritage, but when we saw this “rainbow” edition P-Rod II, our first thought this was a new way for an individual to “come out” to the world. Nike has called upon Hiroshi to create a number of great special make ups usually opting for simplicity rather than something obnoxious which is why we were so taken aback by this shoe. Hiroshi’s signature makes its way to the tongue along with his Fragment logos. No word yet if these will be available to the public, but don’t expect too many people lining up for these regardless. |

nicekicks may want to block certain statements,but whoever wrote the article started the whole thing. they implied the shoes stood for something, they put them next to a picture of 2 flamboyant guys, they said was this a coming out party, questioning who will camp out for these, then they want to raise the red flag for people saying no/homo. i love this site, but take responsibility for your actions and stop trying to place the blame on everyone else. it was your article that started the whole homophobic condition your complaining about in the post

Its funny to see guys bash a pair of sneakers that are considered gay, and yet most of these same guys will wear the gayest stuff ever like; Tiffany SB, Stussy SB, patent leather Jordans…. heck even sneaker collecting is considered gay to most men. I like P-Rod’s just as much as the next guy but, these really are pretty crappy. Oh yeah, I’m not gay, but your homophobia is really immature. I’m support people of all sexual orientations and personally believe that one’s sexual preference is nobody’s business but their own. That being said, I still believe that everyone is entitled to their opinion.
