Nike SB x Concepts Lobster Dunks Release
Posted by Matt Halfhill | May 31, 2008 Cambridge’s Concepts released their first collaboration with Nike SB this morning to a long line and large crowd waiting for the Concepts “Lobster” Dunk SB. Only 200 pairs were on hand for the release, but the first 50 people received a commemorative wooden crate for their kicks made to resemble a lobster trap.
The “Lobster Dunk” theme was carried beyond imagination with a lobster like exterior made to resemble its armor like exoskeleton, to the lobster bib sock liner, and how could one miss the rubber band across the toes. Limited T-shirts and accessories were also cooked up to compliment the release. Not surprisingly a few pairs of the Concepts Lobster Dunks have made their way to eBay where they are catching (no pun) some pretty high prices due to the demand. Great concept and great execution. All brands or shops doing collabs need to take notice. |

I am not trying to un-hype the shoes, but 300 pairs are going to release later this summer but those will be spread across the country to only top tiered SB accounts. Numbers per store will vary, but don’t expect more than 1 or 2 per size.

these are re-releasing but just only the shoes!!!!!!!!..and to that retard who said there not ,hes a dunb motha fukka….those that 200 pairs that released where only limited at concepts….but yea they are re-releasing “I REPEAT”….except everything that was added in to that limited release will not be included , like the dope box and all the asserciories…..it will jus come with the gold sb box !!!!!!!

these are definately re-dropping! you could have actually bought these months ago from japan(if u understand anything on their ordering page)so if they were on sale before concepts even released them than they’ll be out again. remember japan & some other countries are the ones who make these & leaked them super early. the only hot thing about these sneaks are the package the first couple pair came in; other than that there ugly as hell!!!!

I remember a few moths ago when everyone hated these!!! Since they threw in a “rare” box & crate, everybody loves them. WTF?!? When you wear them, who will know you have the box and crate at home? Nobody!!! They spent, what, maybe $5 more to make the special box and crate and people want hundreds more. Can you say HYPEBEATS!!!! As for the ones on ebay, they can kiss my ass for $600 and can really kiss my ass for the ones with the wooden box for $2,000. R they serious? I’d rather have the What the Dunk’s all day long for that amount.

I heard them joints smell like the sea. In fact, staying with the policy of crooked labor practices, all 300 pairs of these shoes were made by lobsters working in slave labor tanks. Poor little guys. It is apparent that one either works on the Dunks or you get dunked into some boiling water. Come on people, wake up. Aside from imaginative color ways, these shoes continue to reverse the progression of shoe design. They basically suck. When I see dunks on your trunks, I think, “Poor fools. They’ve bought into a scam they’re helping to continue”. Better off rubber banding some dead lobsters to your feet. The Tannery sucks. RIP Spongy you stupid cracker. Harvard Square ain’t for lovers….
