“My Ferris Buellers” - Stan Ipcus
Posted by Matt Halfhill | Jul 24, 2008|
Sneakers and hip-hop have gone hand in hand (or foot and foot) from the beginning. While many rhymes have included reference to a pair of kicks, there is a recent trend of entire songs dedicated to the love of not just shoes, but a specific pair. Stan Ipcus, artist/dj/producer from White Plains, NY, has recently received some buzz with the release of hist latest record “My Ferris Buellers”. This ode to his Ferris Bueller Dunks has been played on stations such as Hot 97, Shade45, and 89.1FM’s Halftime Show. Have a listen below and also check out some other tracks on his Myspace page. Heads up thanks to Mick Boogie. |

Listening to this just made me wanna download “my adidas”…
Crazy to know that someone was so impressed with the buellers that they had to write a tune about them…

There are some shoes I could maybe understand writing a song about, but buellers? Whatever, if he likes them like that, okay, but buellers are far from deserving their own song in my mind. Far from me ever even wanting to put them on my feet.

THESE ARE NICE I DON’T LIKE THE SHOE STRINGS THOUGH

I don’t like this trend of shoe songs, just annoying to me.

i wish i had these. so many people dislike the laces but they’re the icing on the cake.

Wow, remember when ppl who held mic’s had flow and a live beat?
Who needs fancy sounds or celebrity beat makers. Give me a good beat and some good flow and I am set. Why is it that the simple sh*t is so hard to come by?!
Also, I saw this dude one time with Matisyahu…homie has talent!

Lately I’ve been going on an anti-Dunk rant but these and the Pee-Wee Hermans are sick.

The shoes are sweet but I love the song. Shout out to Ipcus, somebody get this guy a record contract. With all the BS they call music and hip hop these days, this song was refreshing. Keep reppin in those Ferris Buellers son..

Pocheez you are wack that song was mediocore at best, I agree with Dj75728 shoe songs aren’t that great. With the exception of AF1s by nellie. The shoes are way cooler than the song.

Jom,
I am sorry, but you have no right to call any one “wack” if you consider any song by Nelly above par.

that song is hella weak, my brother remixes my addidas in 04′ it was called my jordans, way cleaner. i agree the buellers arent clean enough to deserve a song, but i need to get that outfit bueller had on.

Jom,
I echo sneakFREAK’s sentiments. I also wasn’t aware people still used the term WACK. What are we, in middle school? Go bug out to Hot in Herrrr and call me when you get a life..

This song is fresh! Yo Jom, you should write a rap and see if you can do better. I have an idea… write it about how much you like nellie’s ab muscles and how you dance in front of the mirror and do 200 sit ups a day just to try and be like him. Hot in herrrrrrrr!!
