Throwback Thursday - Air Jordan 6 Olympic
Posted by Matt Halfhill | Jul 10, 2008 We have recently had a ton of Olympic coverage lately and with the Games quickly approaching, what better time to pull out another Olympic shoe.
MJ himself was not on the court in the Sydney, but his shoes were present. Ray Allen and Vin Baker were both Jordan Team members as well as members of the 2000 Olympic Team that won Gold. Nike released the shoes that the two JB athletes were wearing at Niketowns limited to just 3,000 pairs. This was the first retro model to be a Niketown exclusive and the first to have a “limited” run. To many the shoes were a navy version of the Carmines with the color blocking resembling the original. Finding the Olympic Jordan 6, not to be confused with the Jordan Olympic 6, is not as easy of a task these days considering the shoes released almost 8 years ago. Thanks to age the clear outsoles are no longer clear on most of them either. Plenty of shots of the shoes are posted after the jump. As a teaser for next Thursday’s Throwback, this athlete was only 17 years old when he won the French Open. |

real talk i buy a pair of jordans that comes out in give them away the next day,beacuse the following week a better pair is going to better than those,so people if want jordans you like cant get them in they sold out,i will have them on ebay for wayyyyyy cheap just look for kingkong they will be new in the box

i love the VI so much, i just think it is the nicest sneaker ever created, point blank period. i can’t wait for the day that i decide to wear the ones i have aquired over these last few years.

yea…i seen a 40+ year old man wearing these on the board walk at the beach today, i felt special cause i was wearing the carmines getting looks from everyone..but this dude put me to shame on that,
definetly one of my favorite 6’s next to the infrareds and the carmines

when they said they were comming out with the Olympic 6`s I thought they meant these I would`ve camped out for these.instead Jordan Brand chose to release those RAINBOW COALITION 6`S.

these are different i none big way. these are retro[+] while the olympic 6 isnt even retro i was dissapointed but the shoe is great.

I remember when The Game was wearing these, around the time he dropped his first album, people were swearing UP & DOWN that his J’s were fake (on another site I was on) as well as accusing Fabolous of wearing fakes as well.
