He is a basketball player who can do it all. He is unstoppable both on the court and off, he is the king Both comfortable and flexible, beautiful and stylish, the Zoom LeBron VI not only represents LeBron James, but lets LeBron stay in control. The Zoom LeBron VI, the newest of the signature line, is the most versatile shoe for the most versatile athlete—LeBron James.

Working closely with LeBron, Footwear Design Director Ken Link created a shoe that represents the essence of LeBron James: team, toughness, passion, and vision. It’s all about durability, strength, and comfort on and off the court. A quick and powerful player, LeBron provides a little something for everyone. At 6-foot-8, LeBron can play all five positions. His love of basketball transcends the game; it’s about the basketball life and style. The Zoom LeBron VI, the latest in the signature series, designed specifically for the performance needs of LeBron James but transcends beyond the court.

Basketball players need footwear that is not only cushioned but also durable—it needs to last the length of the season. Players such as LeBron need footwear that is both comfortable and flexible, a shoe that lets them stay in control. The Zoom LeBron VI not only has a full-length Nike Zoom unit in the midsole for the ultimate responsive ride, but also has Nike Zoom double-stacked in the heel. The cushioning system helps the forefoot for transition when jumping. Deep sipes in the shoe allow for natural motion, which means the shoe works with the athlete’s movement, rather than against it.

The Zoom LeBron VI gives the wearer confidence while playing on and off the court. The shoe’s collar has been engineered with a wider opening so that it’s easier to slip on and wear while maintaining a full-length fit feel. On the collar, graffiti art highlights LeBron’s mantras—passion, family, winning, fearless, and vision.

Zoom LeBron VI
Quickness meets power. This is the most versatile shoe for the most versatile athlete—LeBron James.
• Lightweight natural motion outsole
• Full-length Nike Zoom
• Double-stacked Nike Zoom in the heel
• Dual-density basketball transition midsole
• Lateral stability rand
• Breathable tongue
• Inner sleeve with a traditional lacing system
• Phylon midsole design that minimizes weight while maximizing cushioning
• Carbon-fiber cup in the heel for stability
• Siping on the inside of the midsole

The “Nike We the People Graphic” draws inspiration from a number of cultural elements and design influences to create a bold aesthetic specific to the USA. The graphic, created by Design Director Mark Smith, leverages Nike’s Aerographics technology. With Aerographics, Nike designers are able to incorporate mesh directly into a garment without any extra materials or added weight. Both the “Nike We the People Graphic” and Aerographics technology are highlighted in the 2008 USA Basketball, Track and Field, Softball and BMX team uniforms.

When creating the graphic, Nike designers were drawn to tattoos as the first point of inspiration, specifically looking at how the graphic design could align directly to the athlete’s body. The multi-faceted graphic tells the story of many cultures coming together under the common theme of victory. Just like a tattoo on the body, the pattern of the graphic is darker than the base color surrounding it.

Specific elements of the design include:
- The Statue of Liberty, represented by the torch
- Stars and stripes representing the 50 American states
- The date of the signing of the Declaration of Independence
- Decorative elements from our nations’ currency
- The olive branch and arrows from the talons of the American eagle in the Presidential seal
- Celtic, African and Native American symbols and influences
- A bleeding heart representing Hispanic culture

I think the LeBron line has come with quite a few keepers.

    1st Team: II, III, 20-5-5, Soldier 1
2nd Team: V/Soldier 2, VI (even if they do look like Vandals and other shoes with similar toe)

I found the IV’s to be too wide looking on my feet, and I didn’t think the material had much replay value in terms of wear. Generations were simply underwhelming.

And what was that one weird low top that didn’t even look like it was from the same line?

  3. vix

anyone know wats the width of this shoe? 3E 4E?

  4. sneakerfittedguy

I agree fully and completely with the NiceKicks moderator who posted. The sole makes the shoe look big and heavy. It makes me feel uncomfortable looking at it, let alone putting it on.

  5. ironman

i luv these right here but i hope they’re not heavy !

  6. TRUTH 4 U HATERZ!!!

these are gonna be the best lbj’s ever! simple, sleek, look comfortable. away with all the straps and other bs that just make them way to tight on your feet. i can’t wait for these. i wish i knew a release date. i’ve already seen the general release black and white pairs. they are off the hook too. i’m coppin ever color of these. these are so simple looking but i bet they are just as comfortable as the hyperdunks, just a little heavier.
    AND THAT’S THE TRUTH 4 U HATERZ!!!

  7. wickedkid033

tell they dont look like forces!!!! af50’s???

  8. RepCodes

The details are crazy!….but I thought I would ever buy a pair :(

  9. Hugo's Boss

i just want them to retro the zoom lebron 2’s. Dual density in a ball shoe would be bad ass to cope with pronation and injury.

  10. EAzKing32

I love all LeBrons. But the Zoom LeBron V was the best one that I played basketball in. If the Zoom LeBron VI performs better than the V. I’m sold. I think they look great! These look way better than the first VI. And the “Nike We the People Graphic” color way takes the cake. I think that this will be on of the most rememberale Zoom LeBrons that will ever come out. Plus this shoe is a must have for any sneaker head.

  11. oldjumpman

IF I GOT THESE SHOE, I AM NOT SURE I’D WEAR IT, IT LOOKS TOO NICE, I WOULD HATE TO MESS IT UP. HOW MUCH DID YOU SAY THESE WERE GOING FOR???

  12. oldjumpman

LEBRON ALWAYS HAS HAD SOME HEAVY LOOKING SHOES, THIS ONE IS NOT BAD LOOKING, IF THEY’RE COMFY, THAT’S EVEN BETTER.

  13. solesaved

They Do have more of a boot type of design but i still would scoop a pair up.

  14. AWILL

Please…Take the nike swoosh off of Lebrons shoes already!!!

  15. JerseyCityStandUp

these are the air jordan XX3’s mixed with the Lebron 3, mixed with AF1’s mixed with kevin durants huge nike check from his sneakers……overall 7/10

  16. Darneezy

I guess I’ll just be spending more time hunting down the LBJ III’s and some of the IV’a…

If I wore a size 15, I’d save up and cop the Fruity Pebble IV.

  17. YouKnow

i dont like these, as comfortable as they may be, i will not be gettin them.

  18. LONG BEACH KID

MAN THIS LEBRON IS OFF THE HOOK..LEBRON SHOES LOOK WAY BETTER THAN KOBE .. HAHA DONT CARE WAT OTHER PEOPLE SAY ABOUT THEM.. GETTIN THEM TO COLLECT AND TO BALL IN.

  19. beastmode

HOT…shoulda thru some hyperdunk type stuff on em, but it dont matter…

  20. orthotic

Yeah, Matt hit it right on the head. Sometimes the most comfortable shoes are the funky-looking ones.

  21. LimitedEditionSinceMarch292006

Exactly! They have the AF1 look to them toward the front.

That’s why I said they need to drop the low top version and maybe theyll win over AF1 fans.

Stoj23 Is not lying those Hyperdunks are beasts right now!

  22. john

Looks like an Air Force 1 high top.

  23. Twebb

Not bad but the print kind of kills it for me. It’s alot better than last year’s ugly ass lebron shoe. Overall 7/10.

  24. Jerronimo

It’s growing on me. So far I like it.

  25. fernee

Yeah they do look kind of like some Bron Force Fusions! I’d pick up only when they’ve been marked down though. Pretty decent looking shoe none the less.

  26. swanson

I THINK THIS IS THE TYPE OF SHOE THAT WILL LOOK DIFFERENT IN PERSON IM NOT SOLD ON THEM BUT I THINK I LIKE EM

  27. Nice Kicks

If the Lebron III and AF1 had a child, I think it would look somewhat like that. I like what I see so far, but as for any court shoe, how it performs is what matters most.

  28. JC

    ugly. pass 4 sure

  29. mark

the color way is nice but the shoes are a joke

  30. RULER of NY

    # 12

good call…I agree with the idea the LBJ’s design ideas leak into the final product. The IV’s are the only pair with a appeal. The II’s are the biggest joke…I cant believe people still by new CW’s of that.

The V’s were like hiking boots. Def looks like LBJ goofy elephant foot gets in the way of most designs. Dude is a cornball follower. # 23

Did you see how his tatts start below his shoulder right where his jersey starts. Like he only wants it to be done where people can see when he is on the court. DUDE IS A HUGE POSER!

even though MJ’s are mythologized, and some pairs are overrated, you cannot deny that there are countless classics in that line.

LBJ is 1 for 6 right now. Not a good look

  31. Biggins

Kind of reminds me of an updated Nike Terminator.
These may grow on me, as other LeBron’s have, but I doubt i’ll be shelling out the green.

  32. Stoj23

This particular VI looks nice. However, in terms of value, and looks, the Hyperdunk is still hard to beat.

  33. greggM

i’m having second thoughts on this kicks, i actually love the logo on the tongue: “United We Rise” that’s it, but other than that…. i dont know.. my first impression was it’s like a combination of AJ Is & XX3s agree?!

  34. J.King

The swoosh reminds me of the Air Force Lite mid.

  35. WIZEGUY

they look as heavy as the lebron IV. whatever the case, i want to see these in black

  36. Brave

THEY LOOK MORE LIKE THEY SHOULD BE ONE OF HIS TEAM SHOES NOT HIS ACTUAL SHOE FOR THE SEASON..

  37. nikeindabutt

For such a high caliber player it’s odd to me that Lebron doesn’t get more ‘awe-inspiring’ signature kicks…*confused*
Aside from the IV design I don’t find any of them very memorable.

I wonder how much of Lebron’s signature shoe designs can be credited to his own personal taste and input…

  38. bmoore

it looks like an af1/AJ23/nike vandal/hyperdunk. i think it is UGLY

  39. gameface1326

Looks like a version of the AF1’s

  40. chingle123

is it me or are lebrons just getting uglier with every release?

  41. Sanerio14

these are tuff…they remind me of vandals for sum plain obvious reason. but they are hot IMO. i agree ^^^ i cant wait to see em in black. the tatoo design is a kool concept too. its probably a good basketball sneaker.. but it loox like u can rock em fashion wise too..nice and simple

  42. sNIkErheadZ

    simply dope!!!

  43. lcsupa

Can’t wait to see a black color.

  44. greenmaker24

these r pretty ugly 2 me

  45. IkonRadio

These will be a collectors dream. The whole magnitude of them winning the gold medal… I love the design.

    I want these

  46. jon

hope they grt these kicks in germany.

  47. LimitedEditionSinceMarch292006

Something draws me In about the shoe but something pushes me away.

    +’s
    The Design Is cool.
    The Colorway Is on point.
    -’s
    The Clunkyness
    The Biga_s Swoosh or maybe
    just me.

    For Basketball Yes I suppose

For Fashion make It a low top, shrink the swoosh a bit and I’m sold!

  48. Lawrence

tired of all these new signature lines with just a big swoosh logo…that’s why none will compare with Jordan…more creativity please
