Premium Goods x Nike Zoom Kobe 1 Video

SneakrAddicts have been in person at some of NYC’s biggest releases recently compiling footage for an upcoming DVD. Last Friday the team was live and in person at the release of the Premium Goods x Nike Zoom Kobe 1 where only 8 pairs were up for grabs at the Brooklyn shop. Check out the video about the kicks and interviews about the release.

  2. JerseyCityStandUp

i had to put sneakers over females…because if your sneaker game is busted, you arent pickin up any broads

  3. barryb

whoa whoa whoa…jerseycitystandup…sneakers over females??????? whoa…c’mon now…think about that one again…lol

  4. JerseyCityStandUp

i applaud them for being sneakerheads and sitting in one spot for nearly a week without washing their a**’es and brushing their teeth but for some sneakers???? Sneakers is my first passion over females but i would “NEVER!!!” camp out and lose my good paying job over some sneakers

    very fresh kicks

  6. JC

da music n da concept of da musics tight, but da Kobes n Kobe Bryant himself is garbage. i would never stay on line 4 those kicks.

Sorry for the first comment. When i said messed up i kind of said lauging like those kids got owned. I honestly think its funny they didnt get them and the video made even more funny showing the kid crying at the end. But I’m not at premium goods at all. Hopefully they keep doing it. The shoes are pretty kool though not my cup of tea

Sorry for getting off the topic I’ll wait for the forum. These kicks were flawlessly designed. I probably wouldn’t wear them or buy them because these shoes don’t look great on in general but I can’t hate on these at all.

I can’t wait to have the forum up so we can continue this discussion without getting away from the topic at hand - the PG Kobe 1, but until then here goes it.

I don’t blame Nike for making them so limited that people lineup for a shoe. The bottom line is that no one in that line outside of Alife knew how many pairs were actually produced, all the locations they would release, or even what price they would resell for.

I hate to generalize, but the market of reselling sneakers is a major part of the reason for the campouts. I would love to see a poll done outside of the House of Hoops the night before a major release to see what percentage of the shoes purchased will be kept by the persons buying.

I agree with you Matt 100%!!!!!!!

I couldn’t agree with you more on the working versus camping out comment. The math just doesn’t make sense. I guess you could say it’s the same as drug dealers seeing things. The money outweighs the risk. Those kids see it as easier to campout and spend mom or dad’s money and the flip it as opposed to going to work for it. Plus I was just listening to OSD which touched on this, but it’s going to get to a point like with the release of the Questo’s someone is going to get robbed or hurt and this is not necessary. In a lot of ways it’s Nike’s fault for making the kicks so limited but at the same time it makes the kicks more appealing to most and keeps the brand alive. Catch 22.

I was surprised like I can’t describe when I heard that people started lining up 6 days before the release. While I recognize that there are some of us who REALLY want to have a shoe, there is a point at which anything past is a bit extreme.

I think that for something this limited a raffle is a good way to go about things for the safety of everyone and to truely make things fair. A campout overnight, fine, but several days?! Come on…

Assuming that someone were to resell the shoes that they camped out 6 days for $1500, this would only pay the kid $7.33 an hour for the 144 hours he spent sitting on a sidewalk ( [$1500-$444] / 144 hours ) . I don’t know about you, but I think that I would rather pull double shifts between McDonalds and Burger King if I wanted the money that badly.

Both Nike and Kobe needs to go back to the drawning board and start over….lets get back to the old hyperflight days aww good times

lmao i think its funny and good for the dudes that were going in so hard on some let me cross ur name off the list and they ended up being the ones crying like little kids. camp outs are unpredictable even if u get there early and some people actually care bout their jobs so they either take vacations or just get what they can so dont cry about it go in harder next time. o and why the hell do ppl on camp outs make a list of names like they’re the store dass selling the kicks smh its just weird to me just my opinion.

  15. D

I respect those dudes at Premium goods for doing that. The camping out thing has gone too far. Of course if you have no job or life you can camp out for 6 days. I love sneakers as much as the next person but I’m not staying outside that long for a pair of kicks. I’d rather pay extra money on eBay. I bet some of those kids were planning to flip the kicks anyway. Having a raffle should be the route a lot of stores take because I’ve now noticed that either the employees are buying the kicks or holding them for certain people. This would be a good topic to have a discussion on.

  16. P3

I think it’s kind of messed up that they raffled them off and didnt tell anybody thats what they were going to do. And if they did tell them ahead of time there is no way in hell i’d be up there 4 days in advance

  17. barryb

1st…it’s cool that those dudes have 8 of only 16 pairs in the world but i mean, these kicks aren’t even that hot…
