Air Jordan 1 Low Phat Black/Varsity Red
Posted by George Kiel III | Sep 30, 2008 This past weekend, The Air Jordan 1 Low Phat Cement turned many heads with its limited release to select accounts. However, the early release of the Air Jordan 1 Low Phat Black/Varsity Red made the biggest surprise appearance in select retailers. These sneakers are very similar to the Air Jordan I Velcro Red (minus the velcro straps) which also dropped this past weekend.
Although the official release date is December 2008, you can get them early, in many sizes, at eBay now. More pics after the jump provided by Sneaker News. Very stylish OG colorway! Would you sport them? |

Come to think about it, I think $100+ for any Jordan 1s is too much. Especially in lowtops. For that much I much rather get something with a little more technology. But these are hot though.

these feel nice on the feet. I kinda would rather have highs but I cant front. Pair em with a nice pair of jeans and the tongue automatically sticks out, FRESH!!! IDK they kind of dont feel like lows…

Don’t even act like these aren’t hard.
Jordan saving all the OG colorways for new release stuff, to bring new consumers. Every new school jordan head is gonna buy 4 pairs, 2 for them, and 2 for their dog. This means JB gets new people hooked on their stuff by using the tried and true colorways.
Meanwhile, the experimental colorways go to the sneakers that people just want retro colorways of, thus annoying the original fans, but packaging them as 2 so consumers are forced to get 2 pairs. This also sates the old heads who just want “another one of those” shoes, and will collect a sneakers style regardless of how it looks because of their memories wearing/rocking/collecting those shoes.
JB is smart marketing man, smart marketing.

oo, no complaints. had em about 7-8 years ago in hightps, why wouldn’t i get these? i mean, its as close as it gets to those. these are nice. its colorways like this that mike cant go wrong with. original colorways in different form. i like them. i hope they bring back the black n blue. maybe the silver ones, dontknow i those were called cool grey’s or not, cant remember. we’ve all been complaining about how they raped this shoe and left it out for dead, but any jordan shoe head should be satisfied with this. they did it with the 2’s, why not these?

the phat line has extra padding I believe, specifically in the tongue, if that’s true, then sign me up, low-top 1’s look cool but aren’t all that comfy.
