Nike Zoom Flight Club Tony Parker
Posted by George Kiel III | Sep 19, 2008 Tony Parker has been destroying guards like Steve Nash and Jason Kidd for a few years now; however, it seems Nike is just now paying attention. Nike has finally blessed TP with his much-deserved signature shoe in its latest acquisition to the Nike Zoom Flight Club. Yes, in the past Nike had special edition Tony Parker Nike Dunks and he was apart of the New 6 Air Force Ones that surfaced, but basketball-wise he was stuck with the team shoes until now.
For 2009, Nike and Tony Parker will release this latest version of the Zoom Flight Club. Though the shoe may be created in that old, tired San Antonio Spurs colorway, you will sure see Tony Parker flying past opposing point guards (as he usually does) in these kicks. The shoe is designed with a covering over the front reminiscent to the Nike Zoom Flight 98 “Glove†Gary Payton used to sport. Are these sneakers better than Parker’s rapping skills? Take a look at Tony’s first ever signature sneaker after the jump along with some sexy Eva Longoria lingerie pics (you wish). Stay tuned for more info regarding the release date. Thanks to Ken Lu for the pics. Au revoir! |

Def a mix of the white Zoom GP with the zip up lace cover, Iversons and some elements of the Nike Flight Skool (dots on the straps) and a shorter toe cap from Kobe II.
Sometimes I wonder if the players with less importance get the scrub interns to design their shoes.
Any word on who designed these??

^^^ ya, that’s why I like this site, and why I also like a site like finishline. Also, the layout is real clean.

We want more reader interaction. As much as we like organizing the info, working on pics, we do this all for our readers and we really like seeing what our readers like or dislike about a shoe.
We branded ourselves with the speech bubble in our logo because we aim the site to be a place that people can talk about the shoes they see in the news rather than just told what is coming out, in what color, for what price, etc.

Sep 19, 2008 at 3:36 pm
spurs? lmao. in a few years that team will suck big time because everyone is old and the coach never gives rookies a chance
Sep 19, 2008 at 3:27 pm
yeah those do remind me of those Paytons
Sep 19, 2008 at 3:24 pm
HA! I am a big Spurs fan but I don’t honestly know how they will get out of the West without Manu at full strength and with LA stacking up.
I won’t take credit for the Eva bit, this post was written by one of our new writers George, but it was a good trick!

these also look like some nikes that came out years ago. cant remember, i think either gary payton woe them, or scotty pippen
Sep 19, 2008 at 2:39 pm
Oh ya mang, the spurs compete for that ring every other year, too bad it aint gonna happen this season. My boys on the Celtics are beating CP’s Hornets in 6 games.
Sep 19, 2008 at 2:35 pm
Jiggz,
great observation. Almost too similar. I would think the last thing that Nike would ever want is for a product of theirs to look like it followed another design wise.
I am glad to see TP get his due. Hopefully these will help the Spurs take the Championship back!

Yeah, this is like a futuristic Glove!
Sep 19, 2008 at 2:33 pm

They look kinda like those iversons that came out last year…
Sep 19, 2008 at 2:11 pm
Yo, these remind of the ol skool Gary Payton glove kix. Prolly sick for hooping but not for fashion.
Sep 19, 2008 at 2:07 pm
These are kinda cool, I likt that you can’t see the laces really. It makes for a nice look. (even though I can’t stand Tony Parker)
