Nike Zoom Kobe 4
Posted by George Kiel III | Sep 29, 2008 Kobe’s fourth signature shoe will make its debut in stores January 2009. Designed in a low-cut style, this shoe is far from the norm of Nike signature shoes for superstar basketball players.
The Kobe IV was created upon Mr. Bryant’s request for a low-cut shoe that could prevent himself from losing seconds in reaction time. This sneaker is equipped with special technology in the form of Flywire, Lunar Foam, and Zoom Air. Seven colorways have surface on the web, so click the jump to see every pair. These kicks will retail for $120 in January. I understand the reaction time request, but did he forget about the appearance of the shoe? Come on Kobe! More pics after the jump. they look alright. what matters is how you wear them as kicks. one pair might look good on you yourself but won’t be as good looking on another guy. It’s is how you wear the pair of kicks that sets you apart. now your feet wil also have an impact on whetther you like wearing them or just like looking at them in your walk-in closet bro.

if you guys are just gonna buy the shoe for how it looks then your stupid. the whole point is for the feel and how comfortable it is. i guarantee you this shoe will be more comfortable than any other shoes that look “nice”. whats the point of buying basketball shoes for how they look instead of how they feel? wanna put ur feet thru hell just so you can look stylish?

well, we did’nt really like the Kobe 3’s but we all bought’em and I still need the Lakers colorways? hahaha!!! hopefully they will look better in person once or if they drop??? i’m just sayin!!!

im coppin the white/purple one for sure.
maybe Kobe doesnt care too much about the looks of the shoe.

I like the the 2nd pair with the clear gum bottoms and the grey/carolina blue joints,they got gum bottoms too.

Seriously these are mad nice! A lot of peeps have been clamoring for a kobe shoe that you could wear with jeans and just chill with, these are it!! KBZ 1 to 3 you just could go walking around those cept for balling, these allow for both, isnt that one o the reason we all love jordans?

For the pros, a low-top sneaker is a good option for performance reasons since they have trainers taping their million dollar ankles before game-time anyways for support. There’s a reason why sprinters use minimalist shoes! But for the average street baller who doesn’t wrap their ankles just to play ball, or wear heavy bracing, wearing a low-top sneaker is just an invitation to get your ish badly sprained or broken, especially if you play above the rim. Kobe’s my #1 man, but even I can’t endorse these shoes for ballin.

I actually think the shoe is not too bad, especially in the first colorway pictured.
This shoe would be a nice alternative for those looking for a “Hyperdunk” type shoe in a low top version.
