Pony x Yahoo = Yahoo! FTC
Posted by George Kiel III | Sep 18, 2008 Dear Ladies and gentleman: check your emails, log in to your IM’s and forward this news to everybody you know; this is history in the making! Pony has just collaborated with yahoo.com (yes…the search engine) to release the first sneaker ever created between a shoe company and search engine. The Yahoo! FTC, an exclusive style sneaker, is part of a grassroots campaign. Smothered in purple suede, Yahoo’s signature color, the FTC’s are available only at Start Wearing Purple.
This shoe resembles another Pony sneaker made earlier called the Pony Feed The Cat. The Yahoo emblem is imprinted on the tongue (with another exclamation point on the heel) and the Pony icon is present as well. These sneakers will ship late October; however, pre-orders are now being taken. The sneaker will retail $54. Is google next? More pics after the jump. Signing off! |
