Air Jordan 1 Retro Laser (Closer Look!)
Posted by George Kiel III | Oct 10, 2008 Two weeks ago we presented the Air Jordan 1 Retro Laser and, to our surprise, fans went crazy over these! Well, we now have a more vivid, detailed look of this Jordan 1 model.
Many of you were impressed with the gum bottom and the laser print on the side panels, while others were disgusted with JB for tampering with the classic Jordan 1. So as the release date for these controversial sneakers approaches, let these pictures help you decide whether to snag them or not! Not crazy about laser design, but somehow it seemes to flow. And on top of that the gum sole adds a nice touch.

Still on them…That lasering is a bit excessive, however I’ll make an exception. $110 isn’t too bad on the pocket, either.

Why does the shoe in the 4th picture have a black sole? Anyway, I actually like these. My problem with them is the fact that their calling them “Laser”. That’s not lasering. It’s a velvet (or maybe even felt) overlay in the Jordan laser pattern. Same with the “Laser” 6 Rings. All in all, this is still a pretty decent drop, but imagine if they’d actually lasered the leather, Mark Smith style. I’d be all over these. It remains to be decided whether I’ll cop or not.
