Air Jordan 11 Black/Varsity Red CDP
Posted by Matt Halfhill | Oct 5, 2008 Celebrating the “Year of the 23″ each month (except February) saw the release of a double pack of retro Jordans who’s models totaled to 23. Not surprisingly many were getting ready for the Jordan 11 + Jordan 12 Countdown Package.
Saving the best for last, Jordan Brand will treat us to the Jordan 11/12 Countdown Pack in December more than seven years after the last patent leather Jordan 11 release (sorry JB, the IE lows don’t cut it). Only a couple of weeks ago Jordan Brand posted on their official Jordan release dates that the Jordan 11 in the CDP would be the Black/Varsity Red, but with the number of retro Jordans this year that are slightly different from original colors it is good to receive visual confirmation that they will in fact be the shoes we know as the “Playoffs.” This pair posted on eBay is a youth size, but from checking the tags and insole, one can tell that these are for the upcoming Countdown Package. my older brother has the retros of these from 2001 and after all these years they still look good but the bottom is starting 2 fall off but they are bringing the freshest XIs back out!

Too early to retro these… i was hoping for Spacejams or Concords, but they don’t look bad. I gotta wait for men’s pics tho. The quality looks bad because apparently theyre kids sizes? And does anyone else notice that the box isn’t like the other CDPs?

I just look at my DMP 11s and the jumpman is facing the opposite way from 01 retros so i guess JB decided to flip the jumpman around on the 11 retros that come out in the future

you know they did the breds because JB’s quality of clear soles is so bad that they get yellow before they even DROP… and of course with the breds it’s at least it’s a lot harder to notice

@ #19. the colorways for the 12 are black/varsity red/cement grey. you can find the colorways on 23isback.com (i still fux wit nicekicks way harder). and like everybody else, these should’ve been the space jams. i guess they didnt do it since they had them in the defining the moment package. but still. space jams are the hardest jays (imo). cant wait to see how they do the 12s. i know they gonna be black with the red front, but it says it has cement grey. mite jave to get these if i dont im gettin the 8s and 15s. cant get both package though. too much red and black.

# 21- The reason the sign is backward is because thats how the recent retros are.. for example.. the DMP XI.. which reminds me.. that was the last patent leather Jordan Release..not 7 years ago though. I’ll be passing.. but im gracious these are dropping. I was able to sell my retros and cop the ogs for $10 less.

I can’t wait for these. Been looking for a pair of Bred XI’s, but didn’t want to pay $500+. Now I can get a pair. I think the Bred XII’s will come with this pack, which I already have. If it is the Wred pair, even better. But who cares?!? The XI’s alone are worth the price.
Side note, you don’t pay that much more at PYS. I rememebr when the White/Grey 13’s came out. They sold out every where. I only had to pay like $40 more at PYS. That’s way less tan those ebay prices.
And to the person that said the space jams came with the DMP, the concords came with that pack, not the space jams.
