Nike Air Force One BET Hip Hop Awards 2008
Posted by George Kiel III | Oct 27, 2008 In observance of the 2008 BET Hip Hop Awards, Nike has joined forces with BET to create an exclusive colorway of the Nike Air Force 1.
This style features the Hip Hop Awards ‘08 logo on the heel and a BET “dubre” on the laces. It also has ‘08‘ in red numerals on the tongue. The colorway is made up of a grey crushed patent leather with accents of varsity blue, red and white. 250 pair were manufactured; however, they were only released to select people at the award show. Sheesh. These “exclusives” are getting to be a dime a dozen.
As for the shoes themselves: way too much patent; it’s just too shiny for me. The BET logo on the heel and the tongue tag “08″ are lame.

Nice, but as previously stated, they’re only a pair of Slam Jams, with some customizing. Nothing spectacular.

Yeah and Jeronimo, I guess it all just depends how much you love the shoe. Personally I wouldn’t spend too much on these, not one of my favorites. But there are shoes out there I would spend ridiculous money on if I had it. Btw Nike isn’t hiking the price on these, it’s a giveaway, the ones that got them and resell them are hiking the price. These are really comparable to team exclusives that have always been around.

These are coo but the whole exclusive idea is getting old. Jus make the colorway and release the number of pairs and call it a day. Who cares about the “BET AWARD EDITION” part on the back. They are not signed or anything. Are they worn by Ludacris or Jay-z in the award show…NO! So why hike the price up NIKE…oh cus they can, and people will still buy them. The shoe game is not the same people….AND PLEASE SAVE YOUR BREATH> I AM NOT HATING. jus being real. A shoe that cost $20 to make and u spend thousands on it on ebay, and U never wear it. It’s dumb! I love shoes like the next guy. I am just getting older and wiser. I will always buy a dope pair of J’s. But I am in banking professionally. Somethings just don’t make cents!

yea i was watching 106 and park when dey gave ludacris and mark walberg these when dey was on there for max payne. umm they not even all dat. I liked da playstations more then these. Dey kinda whack to only have made 250

These are just personalized Slam Jams…I like them alot though. Sucks that Souljah Boy probably got a pair and will not do them justice at all…
Watch - next thing you know Yums will come out w/ some that look similar…lol
