Air Jordan X Baseball Cleat Samples
Posted by Matt Halfhill | Nov 5, 2008 Count on eBay to provide you with some of the craziest and rarest items in existence!
Stepping up to the plate this time is an uber-rare pair of Nike Air Jordan X cleats made as a sample while Mike was playing minor league baseball for the White Sox affiliate Birmingham Barons. Much to the surprise of many (or part of David Stern’s master plan) Michael Jordan returned to the NBA in March of 1995 taking the court in the Air Jordan 10 while wearing the #45 jersey. Lately, many Player Exclusive collectors have been hot after special edition Jordan cleats worn by NFL and MLB athletes, but nothing holds a candle to a sample that was made for Jordan during his time in baseball. With less than a day left, these cleated Air Jordans are only at $119, but don’t be surprised if these fetch four figures when the closing bell rings. View the auction [here] |

uuuggglllyyyyy
10’s (X) have always been horrendous to me. now seeing these in the cleat form just puts the nail in the coffin
Nov 5, 2008 at 7:03 pm
*** but the quality of leather on those is quite attractive and makes me wish that kind of quality and dedication from JB was still around

Jason,
Sneakers are worldwide if you hadn’t noticed. No political boundary or body of water can keep a rare pair of kicks out of someone’s hands.
Whether you like the look of these or not is not what the post is about - more about how rare and historic this shoe is.

The jordan sign in the back is backwards if anyone noticed. Is it like that or what? i have my air jordan 1 retros and he is facing towards the right i have never seen it towards the left
Nov 5, 2008 at 7:36 pm
if i remember, a few of the x’s had the jumpman reversed. i kind of remember people whining that the retros had the standard logo instead of the left-facing. maybe it symbolized mike leaving the game.

Jason, do you feel accomplished when your the first to comment? Seriously, these kids now a days just want to jump on the bandwagon and be noticed… Anyways on your comment, it does not matter about if you like or dislike item. I understand its your opinion, but realize that special sneakers has backrounds and history. Stop judging sneakers on appearence. Know your knowledge on the sneakers first. Fortunately, we have this website for example to help us out with the information.

Nov 6, 2008 at 7:03 pm
I can’t believe people are talking about sporting these; that’s insane. Don’t get me wrong if I saw anyone stepping up to the plate in these I would be jocking hard, or telling myself they were fake. These are a piece of history that will go for big bills.

The comments for this entry show just how many dumb fools read and comment here. You’re proudly displaying your ignorance of an extremely significant shoe.

Dec 10, 2008 at 11:39 pm
