Nike Air Force 1 x Nike Air Huarache Hybrid
Posted by George Kiel III | Nov 11, 2008|
Hybrids, hybrids and more hybrids! Lately, we have seen a plethora of Nike mixtures including DJ Clark Kent’s Nike Air Force 1 x Supreme Dunk SB Low and actor Chi McBride’s Nike Dunk/Air Force 1 Hybrid. We have now spotted another attempted combination between two classic Nike sneakers: the Nike Air Force 1 and the Nike Air Huarache. This Nike Air Force 1 x Nike Air Huarache Hybrid combines the Air Force 1 model with Nike Huarache technology to provide better comfort. An interesting feature on this sneaker is the icy sole which many people feel is one of the best inventions by Nike. Besides the technology, the Huarache influence is also visible on the tongue and outsole (shown after the jump). Do you applaud Nike for this one or are they taking the hybrid concept too far? More pics after the jump. Via My Air Shoes. |

Nov 11, 2008 at 12:47 pm
Looks like a regular ole air force one to me!!!!!
Nov 11, 2008 at 12:53 pm
these can’t really be considered hybrids if the only change is the huarache label can they?
Nov 11, 2008 at 12:54 pm
^^^ya it just looks like an air force 1 with a huarche symbol on the toung
Nov 11, 2008 at 12:58 pm
nike gone to far with hybrids??- YES
this shoe=CLEAN
wouldnt even call it a hybrid. more like a hurrache colorway for the af1
Nov 11, 2008 at 12:59 pm
that looks like a normal af1….with a huarache fit. Not worth it to me…>>>>>>I’ll pass>>>
Nov 11, 2008 at 1:12 pm
Oooooh.
Nice.
The sole sets it apart for me.
The sole is what attracts me to most sneakers.
And I’m diggin’ this.
Nov 11, 2008 at 1:22 pm
DUde………Its A regular Air force witha different label…..Thats stupid
Nov 11, 2008 at 1:33 pm
What makes this a “hybrid”? Except for the huarache stamp on the tongue it appears to just be an AF1 w/ an ice clear sole.
Nov 11, 2008 at 1:42 pm
can you people stop saying the same thing there is really no point we know what it is it ain’t no hybrid just a ugly ass air force one. so people please refrain from using stupid comments
Nov 11, 2008 at 2:08 pm
EWWW!!! UGLY!
Nov 11, 2008 at 2:20 pm
I’m willing to take a guess and say, this hybrid is going to fit more like the hurr then your typical harlems. Nike isn’t going to attach the hybrid name with out adding to the base shoe
Nov 11, 2008 at 2:33 pm
when is this going to stop!!!!! please stop killing the classics!
Nov 11, 2008 at 2:42 pm
Very nice for the summer time. I’ll cop just don’t go crazy with the price nike.

DEFINITE COP
Nov 11, 2008 at 2:51 pm
Why don’t they “hybrid” some style into their company instead of pumping out all this “mashed up” garbage?
Nov 11, 2008 at 2:53 pm
no way dawg sorry tri another time doe
Nov 11, 2008 at 3:24 pm
nikes gona have to do alot more than change the tongue to get some love on these
Nov 11, 2008 at 3:35 pm
Reminds me of the icecube euro af1 from a couple years ago. These will look good in the summer, but i wouldnt call it a hybrid though.
Nov 11, 2008 at 3:38 pm
WTF?
Nov 11, 2008 at 4:21 pm
Read! Thier hybrids because of the tech they put into the shoes they dont allways have to look mashed up to be a hybrid…
Nov 11, 2008 at 4:41 pm
NIKE TOOK HYBRIDS TOO FAR WHEN THEY DROPPED THE VERY FIRST JORDAN FUSION! This AF1 here is butt. BTW, Nike needs to stop raising the price on AF1s every coupla seasons. In a few more years they’ll be like 6″ Timberlands; way too overpriced and not worth it anymore.
Nov 11, 2008 at 4:47 pm
It looks like a supreme af1 release from the stitching.
i guess the huarache tech makes them lighter compared to the often heavy supremes.
lovem. wud def cop for casual, icey look
Nov 11, 2008 at 4:50 pm
i dont see any hurache in the shoe
Nov 11, 2008 at 5:04 pm
LOOKS THE SAME EXCEPT FOR HURACHE EMBLEM!!! nice SHOE thoygh!!!
better than that WII trash they had yesterday!!!
Nov 11, 2008 at 5:35 pm
looks like they’re changing the look again already in the second picture and to clear any confusion i’m talking about the upper it looks a little taller
Nov 11, 2008 at 5:42 pm
No offense these aren’t hybrids these are posers ! How are you going to put a hurache symbol on air force and call it a hybrid? Makes no sense !
Nov 11, 2008 at 7:44 pm
to number 30, there’s huarache technology in them with the air force 1 sillohuette that’s how theyre hybrids. but i think if theyre going to do hybrids it should definately be done like this. barely any change to the way the shoe looks, but improvements on the feel to make it up to date
Nov 11, 2008 at 8:04 pm
all they did is change the sole and tongue,, they disapointed me again
Nov 11, 2008 at 9:05 pm
woow, the whole SOLE is clear
Nov 11, 2008 at 9:28 pm
They’re using the huarache technology, which means it’ll be a lighter, more comfortable shoe.
I’m tired of people not understanding simple concepts. Particularly when the good people of nicekicks spelled it out for you at the beginning of the article.
Nov 11, 2008 at 10:00 pm
WTF, yall slick straight stupid, these are to fresh. i mean that iced sole is amazing. got to cop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
