Converse x Staple “Pigeons”
Posted by Nick Engvall | Nov 25, 2008 Jeff Staple is at it again, this time teaming up with Converse for the Converse x Staple “Pigeon” sneaker.
When Jeff Staple puts his iconic “pigeon” logo or colorway onto anything, it turns to gold. Previous releases include Nike Dunks, which will set you back about $2000 on eBay, the New Balance 575, which can be had for about $400, and New Era fitteds, which are considered a steal at about $75. These Converse feature the stitched pigeon icon on the tongue, and the now standard “pigeon” issue coloring, grey and salmon-orange. We can only expect the same from these future (hopefully) releases. Not much info is available now, but we’ll keep you updated. Closer look after the break via HighSnobiety. |

Nov 25, 2008 at 2:09 pm
smh…
It looks like Jeff Staple is ready to sell himself short, taking quick money, and going down in history as the man who made a shoe inspired by a Pigeon.
I have no desire to own these for a couple of reasons. These are not that attractive to me design wise, and this pair will always be remembered as the shoe where Staple took shit just a little too far with the Pigeon.
I guess the Pigeon fitteds and T-shirts weren’t paying the bills…
Nov 25, 2008 at 1:48 pm
Yeah. Awesome. Let’s just put a freaking pigeon on everything. Sell it for $500. Stylin.

nikeindabutt, you couldn’t have put it any better… the shoes have all been nice and I have liked them but they are not standout in the way the re-sale would have you believe. Hype kills me haha
Nov 25, 2008 at 11:51 am
DOES ANY1 KNW WHRE I CAN GET SOME CHERRYWOOD XVIs N A SZ 13. IF SO HIT ME UP. MYSPACE.COM/YF2DEF, RANDSOMEBODY4LIFE@YAHOO.COM. (330)590-7437

I can’t believe that a picture of a pigeon automatically makes people swear a shoe is fly (no pun intended).
I’ve “liked” the dunk & New Balance releases but people were falling all over them and paying ridiculous prices for what? The Staple collabs have been “nice” but hardly worthy of the kind of sneaker worship ($2,000 re-sale & near riot for dunk, campout and $400 re-sale for NB) they’ve received.

I dont rock Verses, but I would definitely make an exception for these!
