New Balance MTG580 “Outdoor Jacket”
Posted by Nick Engvall | Nov 4, 2008 Taking the original MT580, which originated in Japan, Boston based New Balance, has remixed it into a new series called the New Balance MTG580 “Outdoor Jacket”collection.
The inspiration for the three colorways of these MTG580’s came from outdoor jackets. Come January, you’ll have the choice of purple, teal or yellow. You’ll also have the choice of regular laces or bungee style laces like you would find in an outdoor jacket, they’ll even throw in the plastic lace locks, so you won’t even have to tie your shoe. Made of water resistant Gore-tex uppers, they’ll keep your feet dryer than the typical running shoe, perfect for the rainy season. Lots of pics after the jump via STREEThing. |

myk dawg, the MTG580 was exclusive to japan for a while, it just recently came over to america. That is why it is a ‘japanese footwear giant’. I do really like these shoes, but gore-tex creases soooo awkwardly and is really hard to clean.
