Nike Zoom Kobe 4
Posted by George Kiel III | Nov 19, 2008 Reigning MVP winner Kobe Bryant will be dropping his fourth signature sneaker, the Nike Zoom Kobe 4, on January 17th, 2009.
Possessing some very unique qualities, this sneaker does not look like a typical basketball sneaker. Wrapped in a Los Angeles Lakers colorway, this sneaker features a black leather upper with purple and yellow accents on the swoosh, shoelaces, and heel. Another interesting feature is the translucent midsole and the black reptile print found on the toe box and heel area. The words “Carpe Diemâ€, which means ’seize the day’ in Latin, is imprinted, in gold, on the tongue of the shoe. A white version is expected to drop later in 2009. i just got these shoes an idc wat u gys say bout the colorways they look fly especially if u order them with the yellow swoosh. u also get soooooooo much more vertical. lightest bball shoe ever and by far the best

i wnt the spcial edition of kobe 4 madison edition….yeah but its very comfortable..i like this shoe…i mean i really like it ,it’s not about the style its about how you play the game..

BUT have you ever tried to ball in those? It’s like wearing bricks instead of shoes!!! Maybe these don’t look that good, but let me tell you they are on par if not better than HD in perfomance. You dhould give lowtops a try (if you don’t play a center).

i just bought one last Monday,the same color but not the CARPE DIEM edition,to hell with the look,i had a dislocated ankle 2 years ago, its the only shoe that made me feel secure since the T-MAC 2….

For those Lakers hater and Kobe hater, you dont have to buy his shoes! If dont have nothing to say then just move on!!! Not unless you cant afford them then yes you have a problem!! I think for me his shoe’s are pretty bad ass!! Now I know some of you can’t play ball with low top’s is because you can’t play at all!! weather you have high top or low it doesnt matter!! you just can’t play!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For all those saying LeBrons shoes are better than Kobe’s, you are seriously crazy! I hoop 5 days a week and I have never seen someone hoopin in LeBron basketball shoes. His shoes all look the same and they act like he is creating some new standard. Unfortunately, until Jordan gets rid of his creative team no one will beat him out.

These shoes, I like the Flywire technology on them, but hasn’t it seem like all the new shoes have to be Light weight? Look at the Jordan Melo M5s. They’re light weight. Hyperdunks? Well, they started the trend. But, these shoes are honestley the worse since the Adidas Kobe B-1s. I’m not just not feeling them. Kobe, you better join the Jordan Team.

Why the low cut? Stick to hyperdunks if your thinking in playing ball. I would never wear these off court, they’re too ugly. Big disappointment. So far, i think the kobe 2’s are the nicest, and best for ball. I do like how he used a clear sole, but why just half way through? What was he thinking…

will you guys please stop with the “looks like a trainer” crap! everyone acts like they’ve never seen a low top basketball shoe before. Back in the days of Bill Russell they rocked low top chuck taylors with no ankle support or cushoning and they did just fine! Only thing I like is how the clear sole wraps up to almost cover the toe. Other than that, Nike needs to put some better designers to work on Kobe’s kicks.

I’m a big Kobe and Lakers fan, but i never really like any of his shoes, and these are no exception. The only Kobe’s that i liked were those adidas he a had, they re-released those as the “Crazy 8’s”.

This looks like it was thrown together from the two different mid-soles to the grey color scheme that doesn’t fit the Laker color combo. What a horrible design that is becoming more common with Nike.
