Reed Space x Fila Ninety6
Posted by Nick Engvall | Nov 19, 2008 Jeff Staple, creator of the notorious Pigeon Dunks, and founder of Reed Space, has teamed up with Fila on the Ninety6 to create new colorways of the sneaker formerly known as the Grant Hill 2, the Reed Space x Fila Ninety6.
New colorways include a Reed Space hometown favorite, the New York Knicks colorway featuring white, orange and blue. The classic white, navy and red colorway will be available with Reed Space touches. Last but not least, the flashiest of all is the CMYK color separation version. Reed Space chair logo on the heel, and branding on the heel and tongue set these apart from the standard issue Fila Ninety6. Though this was Grant Hill’s signature shoe, Fila can’t use his name to promote it since he is no longer with Fila (and signed with Nike).
It’s the same reason the Adidas KB-8 retros are called the “Crazy 8″.

Umm these need to stay in the past not really a fila fan and I dont care who backing them nas, wu tang, and you remember hurricane chris last year had the fake pradas i mean the helmsman lol i had dudes coming up 2 me saying yeah they got same shoe and Im like I got on a $380 shoe what you got on????? I hate filas!!!!!

This pack does not demonstrate Staple to have a good taste or eye for color in the least. The og color is a no brainer, the NY Knicks color is nothing new and a pretty easy move on his part, and the CMYK looks like it belongs on the shoe walls in 2006.
I would have expected Jeff to get a tad bit more aggressive than this if you ask me.

the knicks colorway isn’t that bad, but i’d expect more outta this collab. its good to see them branch away from pigeon colors though.

The NY Knicks colorway is pretty sick…The OG colorway is by far the best IMO though..

only feelin the original colorway. and to FLYMIKE, true enough the fake prada fila’s are ridiculous but boasting that you are wearing 380.00 shoes makes you sound not so FLY. i see too many people who think just because their gear is expensive it makes them fly.
