Troop Pro Edition Returns

Troop Pro Edition Returns

The Troop Pro Edition has finally returned! In two different colorways (Red and Black), we have now spotted this classic sneaker at Finishline. Earlier this summer, we had a reason to believe this sneaker would be making a return from the 80’s since the demand for vintage kicks continued to escalate.

The Pro Edition has been manufactured slightly different this time. The new features include an embroidered logo and an air-bag that is visible from the inside of the arch. Despite the new details, the Troop Pro Edition is still smothered in elephant print.

We can thank Nelly for this classic return as he announced last February that he is bringing the brand back through a licensing deal. Maybe he cares about sneakers other than Jordans and Air Force 1’s after all.

  8. Troy

LOL are they serious…they look like some WALMART shoes

  9. Jason

Man you kids get to me sometimes. Troop was the OG of urban brands. Don’t dare say they are a “FUBU type” of company…FUBU wouldn’t be around if it wasnt for Troop!

I am happy to see the brand come back and so far it looks like Nelly is keeping it real and not messing around.

  12. rod

#9, you’re ranting.. not preaching. all i see is a desperate brand trying to fit in and be trendy. don’t front on being OG when you’re overkilling cement print

  13. kickz2fresh

  17. poscogrubb

I thought it was illegal to bring back certain 80’s fashion trends. ;)

  18. someshoeguy

Funny thing, when JB releases the all elephant print shoes, everyone gets a hard on over them. Let another company do it, having done it like 20 years ago ORIGINALLY, most of the little brats hate them.

And people wonder why OG heads don’t come around anymore.

  19. rod

^please.. look at the timing of this “comeback” and tell me they’re not trying milke a dying trend. cement’s been played out for the past 2yrs. besides troop’s rendition and execution is generic and absolutely horrid. what’s the point of boasting and bragging about troop and being OG anyway? it failed then and it’s another eyesore now. the few people who buy these won’t save the brand anyway. watch it hit the sales rack, fade and die..again

  20. solesaved

Some shoes should not be RETROED and these is a prime example.

  21. Dan

I really don’t think Troop should have gone the retro way. There’s reasons why they didn’t continue to stay strong in the shoe business, they were onehit wonders…New designs are needed to update them from when..the 90’s they were out?

And yes, these are an OG shoe brand. Troop made an exact rendition of every single retro they brought out, so troop fans should be pleased…Im just worried about how much money they’re going to make.
