The Air Jordan 2009 Black/Gold features a look that will undeniably break necks. Some may hate, but this colorway featuring patent leather and gold accents, and a silky smooth toebox reminiscent of the Jordan XI’s of the past, will be grabbing attention from even those that aren’t sneakerheads. I’m sorry…But these shoes have absolutely no soul (not sole). I mean…$#@% How hard is it to be a designer for Jordan Brand these days? Do they just pay designers to look at previous numbered Air Jordans and throw something ugliness together? Slap a $200 pricetag on it and out the door we go? No originality…and on some of the recent pairs…no QUALITY. I miss Nike’s Air Jordans. These shoes are just straight watered down. Where is Tinker Hatfield when you need ‘em?

After just copping the “Chicago Bulls” XX3’s, I find it hard to look at these. The Air Jordan 2009’s are horrible. I will not be one of the sneaker heads who will cop this shoe. I don’t like it.

These are fake man, the camera is just garbage in itself that it makes the shoes look bootleg as well. LOL It was a good effort, not that I was expecting anything greater than this. All of their recent releases (since Tinker left, basically) have been …well… not amazing? Even Tinker’s comeback couldn’t achieve the legendary status that some of their past shoes have (excluding 23’s, but that was bound to be a crazy revolutionizing kind of thing, right?) JB is falling off; for fresh shoes, look for Supra on the come-up because they’ve got some CRAZY releases and JB is coming with…well…this. THIS… looks like what I left in my toilet this morning. Which isn’t too pleasant…and those brown-ish kinda Fusion 20’s are even worst! LMAO what was JB thinking with those, right?

this shoe is ok… i see that they are going for that lux look with these and if you ask me they nailed it. i think in order to be the flagship model that it has to be different, it has to have polarizing design and this shoe does. i just want to know what kind of performance cushioning it has… i bet this shoe fits like a glove

The Air Jordan 09’s will weed out fake Air Jordan fans who are stuck in the the distant past, and all of you limited funds herbs (thats a 1990’s term). If you want OG J’s go on Ebay and spend a few hundred dollars, oh I forgot limited cheddar. The Jordan Brand has always stood for innovation and creating a blue print that sets them apart from the imitators. Of course they have missed the mark at times, however, nine and a half out of ten they have struck platinum. AJ 09 has solidfied MJ’s number 1 status at the peak of the sneaker kingdom once again. and sorry one more thing. i had been thinking about all of these things before, and i am finally typing it here. I see a lot ppl not liking these, but it could be the end of the I-XX3 era, and the beginning of a new era. the era after the numbered jordans. this is the beginning of the “un” numbered jordans. it sounds silly, i know, but who knows? it’s a good thing. i am tired of these mixed breeds j’s out there. the fusions, the spizikes, the true flights, the phats, the quatros, etc. imo, dumb names for below average shoes. Jordan used to be known for their quality, and quantity.

this shoe is the beginning of the un-numbered jordans, and if this many ppl really hate it, well, then i guess JB will have to make more retros to make their mula. didn’t you ppl hear?
JB is coming out with yet more packages!!! and that means more retros at high prices, but the material quality is gonna suck as usual… so this Jordan 2009, is probably the best product for next year…!!!

chill no ones comin at you in any way,keeping your caps on just makes you look like a rookie.As far as the shoes I think what we are trying to say is dont overlook something,you might miss out on a good thing.Take the XX1’s for example.In my opinion the best in the line…and I do have 18 out of 23.I hate the 1’s 2’s and 18’s….just horrible in every way.All You need to do is keep an open mind,and relax on the caps.

Wow! You people are ridiculous! If you think this shoe is so badly designed, why didn’t you design one yourself? Yeah, they might not be the flashy, multi-colored J’z you’re used to, but have you considered the material and durability? Look at the shoe, it looks much tougher and stronger which will make it last longer. I play ball on a regular basis, and I’m here to tell you, that the 23′z were not all that great. Yeah they looked cool, but they fell apart real easy and had almost no cushion in the heel. They actually gave me a heel spur. From what I’ve seen of the 2009, the heel looks elevated and with much cushion and support. This will ultimately help a ball player and keep their feet from absorbing all the weight. They remind me of the low 22′z with a hint of the 14′z in the design. I had the 22 low’z and they were great for cushioning and grip. I plan on getting the black ones because I love black, plus that patent leather just sets it off! The gold accent gives it a professional polished feel that only Jordan can give you. Yeah, I’m a sneaker head too, but that doesn’t mean I want my shoes to look like a bowl of fruit loops. I like solid colors, or a mix of white and black, and/or silver. I do admit, $190 is a bit much, but you have to face it, Jordan has “earned” that price tag. To me, His shoes are priceless! I took one look at the 09′z and fell in love. These are exactly what I’m looking for. I plan on using them this year in my open player tryout for the Austin Toros. Don’t be mad if these shoes help me get to the top! Stop hatin’, and go make your own shoes if you’re not happy with the ones coming out!

It looks like the gold is only visible in certin light settings or at an angle which I actually like. Its not the best jordan by any means but I don’t think its that bad. With all the hate I should be able to go to the store late in the day and still get them lol. I think black/red wouldn’t be bad either. Ill most likely get them.
I wish they would just make a package with all the og colors of the xi’s. A 3 pack.
I think ppl will come around to the 2009s when they see them in person.

i like em. i ordered a pair. but i heard that only 2009 were released (1005 in US and 1004 everywhere else) in only 3 house of hoops (chi, LA, NY). so once you cant find these anymore then you guys are gona want them right? and i hope every1 else hates em so ill be the only person walking in them.
