With the last of the numbered Air Jordan’s supposedly coming to an end with the Jordan XX3, the Air Jordan 2009 has 23 years of shoes to fill. You can bet that Jordan Brand has upped the ante with new technology on these kicks, however the possibility that these shoes get slight variations before they hit the shelves of your local retailer still exists. I am a jordan fanatic. i have spent coutless dollas on air jordan through the years. some i have bought evey colorway of one shoe like i did with the 23’s so belive me when i tell how disapointed i am in the jordan brand to pass this off as a pair of actual air jordans. jumpmans or team j’s maybe but as the actual new jordan shoe? im disgusted. and the price is horrible. the 11’s 7’s 13’s and 23’s were strokes of genious. these new ones….. i would buy some fakes out the trunk of someones car before i spend my good money for them. wouldnt even wear them if they were a gift. id take the back and get some retros

I thought it was the dark colorway that ruined this shoe at first yet after looking at the white I realize I was wrong… it’s just a butt ugly kick!

what inspired this colorway? black and white? is not a BULLS colorway? nor a WIZARDS colorway? and definitely not a UNC colorway! this colorway stinks! the BLACK and GOLD is much much better!!! it’s shinier, patent leather, and shiny looking!! yes, i know i said shiny twice…

Not bad at all and I like the unique design. Plain, what is that supposed to mean? A sneaker does not need a bunch of colors, straps, and air bubbles to be detailed. There is much to admire about this new Air Jordan. Furthermore, JB has not released any information on the sneaker’s performance capabilities and structural design, i.e., technology. However, I must agree that the price is ridiculous. You may never like the sneaker and that is your right. But give the sneaker a chance it might grow on you. The last nine pairs of Air Jordans were not appreciated at first, but, yet many of those same people bought them in droves.

I honestly don’t think these are so bad.. I really didn’t like the 23’s when they first came out but they gradually grew on me.. these are certainly not the best I’ve seen (I, III, IV, XI, XII) but they are better than the worst I’ve seen (IX, XV, XX)
I noticed one thing from the pics of the bottom of the shoe (4th pic from the top). If you look real close at those grey areas on the heel, the top grey section shows “XX” and the bottom grey section shows “IV”.. interesting.

by the way, when the 21’s came out, they were too plain looking, but i still saw ppl rockin’ them. but these are indeed to plain, jb just couldn’t top the XX3, and they knew it. they might stop at 24 or 2009, just wait and see how it sells… late!!!

Those shoe strings don’t go with the style of shoe.
That ankle support looks good though.

Im feelin these, u can tell my the hyperdunks and some adidas that shoes r tryin to get a lil more hi tek with stability and comfort. these seem to be falling in the same path. i actually like the way they look also. 190!….is ridiculous. maybe when they come in low…ill get em cause they will be cheaper.

these look like they got some design cues from the XIV. But other than that im not gonna just let this be my mental picture of the 2009. i see this as being just a rough draft of it…why would JB just leave this shoe the way it is. I see more design being implemented in this one. For example…the Melo 5’s looked terrible at first then they went in and added some more design and the production model is just sick…..so imma wait on these to get better cuz they prolly will.

These look like they will be great to ball in but as far as off court style, absolutely not. I will pick these up once they hit discount prices just to ball in. Its not a bad thing that they are focusing more on the basketball end but one of the greatest qualities about Jordans since day one has been that they always look and feel like shoes for the basketball court(thats first and foremost) and they look like shoes you can kick back in, go out on a date in, or hang out with friends in. Also though, I highly suspect that this isnt the final product and that there will be some significant changes made between now and Febuary(or March, whenever they come out).

….I have to admit that the 23s grew on me - I didn’t like em at first but now I got 4 pairs. These look wierd to me but I don’t know if this is the final design AND I really can’t pass judgement til I see these in person ( lots of J’s look better in real life- y’all know that !!!) . I might get these and I might not - I don’t know yet - but as a sneakerhead I’m suprised as to how CLOSE MINDED people are . Jordan sneakers wouldn’t be so iconic if it wasn’t for the chances they took and really - wouldn’t you be dissapointed if they looked like something you already had?

It seems that JB is coming out with actual basketball shoes and not shoes to be styling in. The Jordan 2009 is a basketball shoe not a styling shoe. The 23’s to wasn’t really a styling shoe, just to play ball in. That’s all JB is mostly coming out with.

23 were so beautifuly done and alot went into them. Say what you want about the fact that the xx3 went from hated to loved by the time it came out, THESE LOOK LIKE A $115 team shoe as pictured here (the gr box in the pic does not help). For all the people that put so much great work into the 23, looks like they had nothing left in the tank to do much with these
I would not be shocked if the final version came out looking significantly different than tnese. so lets not jump to conclusions.

These look good but not really like Jordans. To me they do look like the 14 and 22s combined like someone said above but it also looks like an adidas shoe to me for some reason.
