Something that has never been done was accomplished. Three cities, three stores, in one day. All for what? The release of DJ Clark Kent’s “Black Friday” Nike Air Force 1. Never mind the 1600 miles flown or running across the east coast with no sleep, 300 pairs of kicks sold out between the three cities in a combined time equivalent to 3 Hollywood films. After the business of selling shoes was through, DJ Clark Kent took control of the 1’s and 2’s and thus control of the party in South Beach to finish off the day 24 hours after it all began. The day started with the release of the Black Friday Air Force Ones at NSW in New York City. A crowd peered into the windows standing on a windy, 34 degree morning hoping to catch a glimpse of the shoes that no one had seen. The doors opened promptly at 4AM where the lucky few were able to get their hands on the shoe that everyone would be talking about for the rest of the day. Ninety-five minutes later, gone. Sold out. No mas. The NSW staff could not possibly run the cash register fast enough to keep up with the demand for the shoes once people entered the store and caught a glimpse of what they were just about to get their hands on.

That was dope that Clark brought food to Concepts for all the kids waiting in line. I wish more spots took care of their people like that.
I have heard DJ CK spin and yes, the man is retarded. Short bus retarded. I was lucky enough to get a pair off of someone to do a meetup in NYC. $325…well worth it to me.

hmmm, all this talk and reference to a “movie”? Also, that looks like Matt in that one pic holding a video cam. Are we due for a video documenting the day too?
As for the kicks, I am so mad that I didn’t grab those joints. They would have been PERFECT for winter formal.

Are you serious to compare this to a movie screening?! Stop it lol you couldnt even compare to a concert tour but big ups to kent next lets not do pony hair its kinda naw its really wack!!! Props to you Matt for some great coverage of a very well executed release. I’m hoping a certain OSD cast member doesn’t end up on the cutting room floor in regard to video footage.

^ It was great to see you as well. I had the hardest time keeping that trip a secret leading up to it.
I am spending the rest of the week on the video, but it will be something online to share with everyone. No need to print to DVD or charge anybody anything for it. I do this for all of you guys.

I wanted to acknowledge you for being there matt, i was with the guy from cali that you videotaped opening the box and showing the kicks at cncpts, then after i talked to clark and got my kicks you were in the back :(… Hopefully I will see you for sure if Clark comes around for from what i hear will be the all-star package of forces. PS. I’ve been loggin on at least 10 times a day waiting for that vid you recorded cuz i’m going to be in that!!! thanks a million times more and don’t keep boston waiting matt!!! Maybe nike will show you some love soon and let you design your own pair of fresh sneaks!!!

The black friday forces grew on me a little. I still think they coulda been done better but some of the pictures in here changed my mind. Don’t really matter because I missed my chance anyway and I’m not paying resale.
The fact that he made the trip to 3 different spots so far apart is crazy, I can definatley respect Kent even more for that.
