With the year coming to a close, we are counting down to the completion of the Jordan Countdown Pack campaign in a big way. Nice Kicks proudly presents the Jordan Countdown Pack Championship where you, the readers of Nice Kicks, will get to crown the Champ of the CDP’s. Each day leading up to the final Countdown Pack release of the Jordan 11/12, there will be a toe to toe match-up of two Countdown Packs in a single elimination tourney format. Another twist to this contest is that all of those who take part in the voting and sign up to the Nice Kicks newsletter are automatically entered into a drawing where you can win the Jordan Countdown Pack that takes the title. Be sure to take part and vote for your favorites and get signed up on the list so you don’t miss out on the action. The Countdown Pack Champion will be crowned on Friday, December 19th, so hypothetically, if the Jordan 11/12 CDP wins and your name is drawn, you can stay inside where it is warm and skip the camp out. Game 1 is coming shortly! In the mean time, get on the list and get in the game! |

If it wasn’t for the infared 6’s I would say the 4/19 package was better than the 6/17 package but in the finals it should be the 11/12 package against the 6/17 package

it would be nice if the world could agree on something and that somethis is the simple fact that the 11/12 pack is king of kings and the king of packs im with the og cw 11’s and unless every one at jb is a complete idiot and is really no longer releasing retros and this is the last time we will see the shoe that mj put up his second three peat in created by one of the greatest shoe designers (hatfield) and one of the best if not the best player to play in the nba and honestly if your creative enough(jb might need a boost in in their creative design team) i feel the series can continue and in my ill always be a fan of mike and any shoe of his im copin… but only numbers and select teams but back to my original point

Well the real truth is that the 11/12 package is going go all the way up to number 1.
I sincerely believe also that from #14 they didn’t make good shoes, is like the last one #23. I though they grab my granpa’s sweater a put it on the side of the shoes jajajaja.

the 18/5 vs. 9/14 will be hard, considering both really good packs. But for the sake of OG style I think that the 9/14 pack will win by a decent margin.

I think it should be between the 11/12 pack and the 10/13 pack in the Championship round. And I’d like to see how wind in that round. This is interesting, and a great idea to see which CDP is the best by far without a shot of a doubt. This should be really fun to see which Countdown pack wins. I’m pretty sure people would be picking either the 10/13 pack or the 11/12 pack as the winner.

The generic CDP ranking goes like this:
1) 11/12 (simply because of the hype)
+ 9) (tie) 5/18 & 1/22. (both had amazing classics with equally “good” basketball shoes)
2) 6/17 (we all know what’s holding this up)
3) 7/16 (those Hares were pretty hyped too)
4) 10/13 (one of the best OVERALL packages, as in both shoes were good)
5) 9/14 (another good overall package, and the 14’s were the last real GOOD shoe in the line-up)
6) 4/19 (bred cement 4’s)
7) 3/20 (cement 3’s)
10) 2/21 (let’s face it, the 2 can’t hold this package down alone & the 21 has NO anticipation on it whatsoever)
11) 8/15 (…HAHAHAH. No, but seriously: both shoes were retroed last year, making the only hype for this package the classic colourway of the 8’s and the “nicer than most” colourway of the 15)
IMO, I agree for the most part with these rankings, but I think the 10/13 package is too underestimated. I still LOVE that package almost as much as the 11’s (because we all know that’s all that everyone wants, and people buying the package are just making excuses to justify the huge price tag for the 12’s, like: “I need new ball shoes.” If it’s like that, get HYPERDUNKS). To conclude, I think that 10/13 package overall is better than the Carmines and Hares.

I love the XI’s but honestly as far as grail’s go the carmines will be the hottest shoe of the packs in 5 yrs plus. The XI’s being a retro retro makes them less wanted than the VI’s that have only been retroed once.

The Jordan 11/12 should have no problem getting into the finals, but blood will be shed for the other half of the bracket - that is for certain.

17’s came out as suede the 2nd time around in the pack. I got the leather OG’s. They look waaay better. The 6’s are sick tho!

6/17 wins by quality I own the originals and the material is the same only difference is one has the Nike symbol and the other Jordan…………

i cant f*ck with the 6’s… but the best OVERALL pack (other than the 11/12) has to be the 10/13… the 17’s are/were/will be weak
