Kicks On Court: Your Favorite Player’s Favorite Player - December 16th, 2008
Posted by George Kiel III | Dec 16, 2008|
Have you ever wondered what it was like for the Jordan Brand-wearing members hooping against MJ himself? Maybe they were thinking, “I have on his sneakers and he owns me!” I guess, back then, it was okay since it was none other than His Airness; however, how would you feel going against your favorite player while playing in one of his signature sneakers today? It must not be that bad considering we found three players hooping in signature sneakers of superstars that are still in the league! In our Kicks On Court today, we spotted New York Knicks guard Nate Robinson and Minnesota Timberwolves guard Rashad McCants hooping in the last two sneakers of Kobe Bryant’s signature line. Nate Robinson graced the hardwood last night wearing the Nike Zoom Kobe 2 in a New York Knicks colorway, while Rashad McCants played in an all-black version of the Nike Zoom Kobe 3. We also spotted Atlanta Hawks forward Marvin Williams playing in the Reebok Question last night. Kobe Bryant and Allen Iverson must feel that much better when they go against their opponents who wear their signature shoes (see Kobe). Click the jump to view these sneakers plus more worn by Ray Allen, Mike Bibby, Joe Johnson, Kevin Garnett, Gerald Wallace and others. |

Oh and Nate Robinson wears a lot of (other guys’) signature shoes. For a while he was sporting some CB’s.

I must be the only one diggin Nate’s Kobes in Knicks colorway. A.I. ?s …. haven’t seen ppl hooping in those for quite some time. Some of the illest street shoes but not that great playing basketball, although that never stopped A.I. from doing his thing. My vote for best Jordan PEs is either Ray or CP3–not Bibby at all.

Hey Matt that is an excellent question. It makes me think back to the year Kobe had stepped away from Adidas (2002-2003 season) and he was wearing the Jordan 11, 7’s, 8’s, 3’s and I believe he even wor the 17’s as well. I also sw a game on TV when he was on the road playing against the Celtics and he wore the Reebok Questions.

I would go to a jb school for free i would play in the nba without a shoe deal to wear the jb. Even Shaq wore the jb even though he is payless specails right now.
