Kicks On Court: Six Rings Season - December 1st, 2008

Over the Thanksgiving weekend, all of the Jordan Brand members had at least two games; and most of them had at least six rings (not literally). To kick off December, our Kicks On Court (KOC) spotted most of the JB members hooping in Jordan 6 Rings PEs. Players such as Ray Allen, Mike Bibby, Joe Johnson, and Quentin Richardson all sported this love/hate sneaker. Click the jump to view enlarged pictures of each player in the Jordan 6 Rings. Who sported the best colorway? We also spotted Chris Paul wearing the Air Jordan 23 ‘Carolina Blue’ PE. This colorway, plus the Motorsports and Chicago Bulls colorways, hit the retailers this past weekend. by far the best KOC.
Ray Allen always will have the best Jordan PE’s.
CP3 almost got him w| his 6IX Rings.
but w| me being a Celtics fan Ray Allen won that battle.
But i seen a pic of Ray Allen’s PE XX3’s and they aint touchin’ CP3’s.
but overall Ray Allen wins … IMO

You all argue about everything except for the shoes. But Ray does have the best PE’s, and I like Nick’s too. I wan’t a pair of the Jumpmans to play in, but can’t decide on a colorway.

imo EVERY nba player is overpaid, but you can’t fault the player for signing on the dotted line. Would you turn down the dough? Anyways, now KG’s money is fair market value for a guy with his skills. Also, fwiw, imo you swap KG with Duncan and SanAntonio still gets those chips.
And Kobe, puhlease, he’s got shaq to thank for those rings. When (if) he wins one without him then I’ll believe your hype.

KG was most definitly over paid. Matterfact have we forgotten or maybe to young to remember the lockout of 98-99. the cause of that was mainly because of the then nba’s most paid contract which belonged to KG. all that money with only one ring is he really worth it? Tim Duncan 4 rings, did have help though the D-rob the admiral, and the emergance of two stars manu and parker. KG in rasheed catagory lol i see why you say it but he deserves slightly more credit than that.

hey everybody those XX3’s that CP3 is wearin is the UNC ones that were very limited and released last friday. not a pe like he normally wears. it wasnt easy but i picked em up and they are unreal.

C$ Im far from Lakers fan but you talk about wat KG was worth lets see 200 million one ring Tim Duncan who sh*ts on him for years has 4 and has half the money and who will go down a greater player and it he did it without 2 other superstars in their prime, its cool to be worth that type of money but these guys think money first and their legacy will suffer for it the only reson why KG saved his was cause he joined the Celtics he has a “Ring” Kobe has rings Shaq has rings Tim Duncan has RINGS these guys are what KG Paul Ray AI and others want and if they do win it all still the other guys have more rings if Kobe wins it this year he will do it without shaq mr selfish as you call him will have a gold medal a mvp and a 4th ring but I wont count the chickens before they hatch C$ KG is just in the Rsheed Wallace cateorgy for rite now

How can you knock the Celtics? They represent what’s good in sports, a team, a group of guys working together putting egos to the side.
KG got paid what the Wolves thought he was worth. It’s not his fault that he played with losers up until joining the C’s. Or Ray Allen, how about the talent that he has had around him? Garbage mang.
Michael Jordan was the greatest to play the game, but he paved the way for youngsters who are all about the individual. Basketball is a TEAM sport, please recognize. Must be a me-first-kobe-lakers fan… lol.

They need to bring back the chris webbers!!!! And the gary paytons with glove over the shoe man those were hot and really take it back with the patrick ewings!!!Those are really retro and since wade plays in converse remember the larry johnsons those in the heat colorway would be a sick and im sure LJ would be honored to have wade play in his shoe damn if we going back lets really take back when shoes were hot nut these bullsh*ts they got today fusions and other bs Im glad I got to see the greatest baskeball player ever play the game jordan prevented alot of people from winning a ring these chumps these days are about money then a ring case in point KG!!! It took him 13 years to win a ring but he made 200 million in salary alone but maybe a 120 mill and he wouldve had a ring before Ray Allen didnt have the heart to win one on his own too under the radar Paul just became relivant but always a good player i miss the golden age of basketball and footwear

imo this is the best koc yet!
My response to the post:
First of all, 6 rings are great to play basketball in. I love that 13 sole, it grabs the floor in such a different way. It takes a couple days to break them in. I got the concords, they are niiice, but those and the breds (and Ray’s and CP’s) are the only ones I’d put on my feet. The olympics, and the “champhionships” are garbage. CW is really important.
DJ is DOING IT! and he’s got the freshest looking j-man pros. Watch out for this cat.
If he hasn’t already– maybe I missed it– do you think KG will wear a version of the “art of war” commanders. I like the idea of that shoe but not so much the design (other than that cool samurai guy on the side). Oh yeah, and Go C’s!
Finally, hellsyeah to Nick for wearing the penny 2’s. I am going to undeadstock a pair of those this wednesday!

oh man, i have been nuts about the CP’s PE XX3’s, and i like the black and blue XX3’s too. but more players are now wearing jordan kicks, wish Kobe and D-Wade could wear j’s. dare i say one day JB will take over the NBA with more kicks and put adidas and converse and reebok out of the picture. by the way, besides AI, does anybody else wear Reebok???
