Kevin Durant’s Nike KD1
Posted by George Kiel III | Dec 9, 2008 Last month we showed you blueprint sketches of Kevin Durant’s 1st signature shoe dubbed the Nike KD1. We have now spotted a colorway of the actual sneaker.
Considering that Durant plays for the Oklahoma City Thunder, we should be ready to see some really funky colors on his PEs from now on. This Nike KD1 features a vivid orange upper with teal shoelaces. Durant’s initials are also colored in teal on the side panels as well. Another unique design is the orange speckled design visible on the purple midsole, swoosh and inner lining. Supposedly, this sneaker posseses the same lightweight capacity as the player-friendly Nike Hyperdunk. They have received positive comments from Durant’s former teammate A.J. Abrams who claimed the University of Texas program will be receiving some shortly in our 1 on 1 interview. Let’s hope the Nike KD1 does not come to UT in this colorway. Burnt orange and vivd orange is not a good mixture! Expect this shoe to hit retailers in February 2009. More pics after the jump. Via Kicks On Fire. |

Kevin Durant AKA KD treats his real blood family Like (#@*%) you know what I mean. Him and his mom Miss. Wanda A Pratt dont do anything for their blood family, his Only brother , I’ve seen this my self is being treated like and out sider, His mom waited almost two years before she desided to move her mother out of the hood in capital heights MD. You see articales in the papper where kevin Durant has given several Different familys Bike and xmas gifts, and yet he hasent given any KIDS in his own family nothing at all. Oh, Im sorry he did give six of them a free tickit the his home game, wow you mean to say that Nike give you $60 million,gatorade a few million, AE Sorts, trading cards, and commercial for all kinds of things and YOU CANT HIT your own family with somethin?

These are very promising. They look like they are pretty comfortable and if they come out with some sick colorways they can be some of the best Nike Team shoes out there.

all of you dont understnd that thes are oklahoma citys colors and because he plays for them these are the damn colors not black and blue or puple and green like you all are talking about the are fresh colors and are not hard to rock when playin ball– all you need is a shirt the same color of the laces and a pair of black shorts with black nike socks– it is very simple

in about 15 years these along with the new lebrons and the chris paul’s will be considered classics. and is it just me or is anyone else wondering what happen to the years where basketball kicks worked as well on the court as they did off.

hmm lets not forget that the shoe is made for KD. i agree about the color, they should change it to being white with added blue and orange accents. it looks hella simple and comfortable.

the kicks are subpar much like the athlete I’ve watched some of his games and I’m not impressed maybe one more year at texas and I think he’d be ok but given the color of the team the shoes couldn’t look any worse

But if lebron called these the Lebron 7’s, we’d find the best in them wouldn’t we. If they are comfortable, I don’t care. People talk about hyperdunks. I think they look cool, but I’d never wear em casually. They are ball kicks just like these. I would need to see another colorway though
