Today we kick off part one of our Sneaker Geeks series. Video Games inspirations have been used excessively on sneakers as of late. Therefore, we dug into our archives and found some of the nicest gaming system/video game sneaker themes that were ever created. Some of these sneakers may not be your favorite model or brand, however, it is always nice to see creativity at its finest. With that said, are the sneaker brands going too far with the video game-inspired sneakers?
Click the picture to view our top 10 video game/gaming system inspired sneakers. Also, check back next Saturday for part two of our sneaker geek series centered around movie inspirations. |

Dec 14, 2008 at 12:58 pm
How’s a shoe sneaker website going to mess up and say “Play Station 3″? When it was the Play Station 2 AF1’s?
Dec 14, 2008 at 8:37 am

Dec 14, 2008 at 3:58 am

Dec 13, 2008 at 10:32 pm
some the forces are hot not sure about the dunks though them reebok ventilators are fresh too and if i remember correct “The Year Of” denim did some jeans to match them
BTW were there ever at any point in time a pair of “Hufquake Dunks” released in 2006 that were overshadowed by their AF1 counterparts becasue i saw’em and id never even heard of’em was dude for real or was he lying hard?
Dec 13, 2008 at 9:53 pm
#1 i think is the best concept ever put on a sneaker. classic(PS) on classic(AF1). and you wouldn’t even think twice on wearing them yourself unlike the other video game inspired sneakers.
Dec 13, 2008 at 9:39 pm
^ Thrashin’ is a movie.
Dec 13, 2008 at 8:22 pm
what about the thrashin’ dunks? Those definately deserve to be in this top 10.
Dec 13, 2008 at 7:32 pm

Dec 13, 2008 at 5:50 pm
I love the Skate or Dies’ and I’ve been a fan of the PS’s for a long time! SUPERFRESH!
Dec 13, 2008 at 5:04 pm
cool post…AF1s are definetly #1
Dec 13, 2008 at 4:27 pm
I disagree, the skate or die SBs should have been #1
Dec 13, 2008 at 4:08 pm
I can’t believe you ranked the Ps3’s above the skate or dies…smh. To each his own i guess, and it might be my bias against sony, but the skate or dies are go hard
Dec 13, 2008 at 3:42 pm
im sure the af1s were out wayy before the ps3 came but thats just me.
Dec 13, 2008 at 2:52 pm
AWWW MANNN!!! MOST DEF, THOSE PS3 AF1′S ARE THE BEST. THOSE CLASSIC BW’S ARE 2ND.
Dec 13, 2008 at 2:48 pm
THOSE AF2′S GOT THE SAME COLOR, CRAZY!!! MANNNN, THE ATARI LOOK LIKE A BIG BOX AND THE LOOK AT THE SYSTEMS NOW. MOST DEF VINTAGE.
Dec 13, 2008 at 2:47 pm
the Atari’s… yeah…!
Dec 13, 2008 at 2:26 pm
iamafr3es0le,
Def not forgotten. Playstation AF1s were sent in to represent instead. I really wouldn’t think those 90/360’s would be anything special if they weren’t so limited.
Dec 13, 2008 at 1:32 pm
Out of all the shoes on the list I’d say the NES AMs are the hardest.
Dec 13, 2008 at 1:04 pm
PS3 AF1s, Sk8 or die and 720 SB dunks are my personal faves.
Dec 13, 2008 at 11:12 am
Are the playstation am90/360s a forgotten shoe or something? For real those r like my biggest grails. Oh well.
Dec 13, 2008 at 10:57 am
^^ in reference to the Ben Sherman kicks
Dec 13, 2008 at 10:57 am
Yep, these are the best ones out of the 10 from this pac (pun intended). I like the Nintendo BW joints as well. Atari Blazers, too.
Dec 13, 2008 at 10:23 am
“It’s PS2 Forces, not PS3.”
Comment by Casey — December 13, 2008 @ 9:40 am
Yeah…. They did a bunch of other stuff for the PS3.
Dec 13, 2008 at 10:12 am
the playstation af1s r the best
Dec 13, 2008 at 10:10 am
the ponys and the dunkz and those pac man vanz r my fav! im tired of seen dem ps2 joints! womp!
Dec 13, 2008 at 10:07 am
idk man but those wii af2 are pretty dope..im not a big fan of the invisible sneaker design but i think these shouldve been on the list..
Dec 13, 2008 at 9:49 am
those EA games ponys are sizk. why was the ps3 air force last?
Dec 13, 2008 at 9:43 am
Nothing like cereal and Nice Kicks on an early Saturday morning. Ahhh lol. Those Ben Sherman Pac Mans should have been higher on the list. Everything else was pretty much dead on to me…. But those Tony Parker EA Hyperdunks are crazy. Even if its on the bottom of the shoe! Take that shoe off the “UnFab Five and throw those Air Max 97 Playstation in its place LOL!!!
My number 1 would definitely be the PS Air Force 1 though. DEFINITELY!
Dec 13, 2008 at 9:40 am
It’s PS2 Forces, not PS3.
Dec 13, 2008 at 9:38 am
