Sneakin’ Into The Club: Creative Recreation
Posted by Peter Sim | Dec 19, 2008 Right back at ya with another edition of Sneakin Into The Club, where we showcase the brands that will help you step up your grown shoe game from Casual Fridays to the night spot.
This week we feature Creative Recreation who is already making their presence felt as an independent brand in the footwear industry. Their footwear is more refined using classic athletic-inspired silhouettes and injecting a cosmopolitan steez into the materials and color palettes. Let’s take a look at some models after the jump. |

Creative Recreation Cesario
The Cesario is Creative Rec’s flagship model with a trainer-inspired design featuring perforated leather panels in the upper and a signature forefoot strap. It comes in a hi and lo version with a gang of colorways to match any fit.

I always liked the brand Creative Recreation.
They are simple yet elegant at the same time. One good thing about Cr8tive Recs is that they are made with high-end leathers and materials but also sport interesting designs. Another good thing is that whenever I hit up my local DTLR, they’re always in a good price, like $80. Not bad. A lot of people like these shoes and a lot of people have never even heard of them so it’s great, meaning, every time you wear these you’ll be wearing something nice & different without going out of your way to do it. One downside though is that even though the Creative Recreation as a brand uses nice materials, the shoes are pretty stiff and at the end of the day your feet might be hurting, but that’s the case with all dress shoes. The best thing about Cr8tive Recs I think is the plethora of colorways the brand releases. There are literally dozens of them! You might never see the same thing twice. This is a great feat. Sometimes I hear people saying how it’s so hard for them to keep up with all the different colorways the brand releases, but that’s the thing. These aren’t for collectors; they’re for people who want to wear sneakers and look nice and dress great at the same time. Leave collecting to sneakers like Air Jordans, Air Forces, Air Max etc. Leave these for the people that look at these shoes in the store window or on a shelf and say “Yo I have got to have those!!” Then they cop and you might only see them on that one person just showing the variety of this company. Great club shoes. Creative Recreations are awesome.

They look like orthopedic shoes, straight garbage. What’s the point of that strap? Oh right, there is none…. I would only rock these if I had club feet and my doctor prescribed them. I swear my grandma has the ones second from the bottom.
