Supra Cruizer Low “Grapes”
Posted by Nick Engvall | Dec 4, 2008 With all the attention on the TK Pro Model as of late, it seems as if the entire Supra line has been put on hold. That is far from the truth, Supra hasn’t moved anything to the back burner, there is still major heat being cooked up.
The Supra Cruizer Low “Grapes” come straight off the stove in the OG colorway made famous by the Air Jordan 5. The Cruizer design takes cues from the Jordan 4, with a mesh side panel, similar toebox and heel tab as well. Available Spring of 2009, priced at a reasonable $70, you can bet heads will be copping these. You can only imagine Supra designers were thinking about the possibility of MJ’s first retirement sending him into the skateboarding world instead of the minor leagues. These are nice…however i do gotta knock supra a lil bit for straying from what set them apart from other brands in my mind which is their originality. Hopefully Supra won’t make this habit.

I don’t really like supra’s, but these are pretty fresh. Don’t know about where y’all live, but I’ve never seen the skaters wearing supra’s here in Charlotte, NC.

This was the only shoe from Supra that they really bit off J’s (unless you include the hi-top similarities between Skytops and 1s? LOL). This is going a bit too far though, even colourways?? Dang, they still look pretty fresh for some skater shoes that aren`t Nike SBs. But even if they are some nice SKATER shoes, they should lose the REALLY fat tongue. Seriously, I hate it when skate companies give low-tops REALLY fat tongues. It`s fine on the high-cut, but unproportional on the lows. They`ve already bitten enough outta JB, so they should teef the tongue on the 5`s and make those a TAD fatter. Then I’m SOLD like the last CDP. Lovin’ the price too, lmao.
