CLOT x Nike 1World Air Force 1 Detailed Look
Posted by Nick Engvall | Jan 6, 2009 The 1World Air Force 1 project from Nike Sportswear has seen some incredible releases since its beginnings back in June of last year. The CLOT x Nike Air Force 1 is the epitome of what the projects goals are, give designers a platform to express there individuality, culture, and place in the sneaker world.
The CLOT AF1 celebrates the Chinese Lunar New Year perfectly by using the color red, which represents luck, happiness, and prosperity, all of which are a big part of the New Year celebration. By going with CLOT Royale Deluxe Silk they have used one of the most traditional and most recognized Chinese-made materials. Scratch, peel or burn the silk to reveal a dark brown leather underneath featuring a similar graphic pattern. These remind me of the ism apparel yakuza airforce 1s I did a year or so ago. Put a dragon on the side and there you go.

WHY DOES IT HAVE TO HAVE THAT MIDSOLE???? These would be so beautiful with a normal white midsole. I love the blocking, the tongue/laces/swoosh/lining lockup is nice on that red upper. Midsoles are so important to me though, especially on an af1. These air max midsoles just don’t look right.

oh an with current currency conversion from yahoo finance
HK$2,800 = US$361.00 approx but more if you get them in RMB(CNYÂ¥) as it works out to $410 approx. same source
