Kanye West was spotted leaving a Louis Vuitton store wearing a fresh new pair of what are said to be Kanye West x Louis Vuitton sneakers. Kanye told the paparazzi,

oh yeah and to all you sayin that LV is tarnishing their image with kanye. thats WHACK. kanye is one of the most influential artists out right now when it comes to fashion. and another thing. it dosnt matter how much kanye spends at LV, hes advertising their products like crazy. so they collab wit him to make maaad caash. believe it or not, people see someone they like wearin something, they gona consider buying, if not buy what that persons been wearing. (case and point…JORDAN BRAND, as well as pretty much any brand) the wearer has lots of influence on the buyer. its called advertising.

flyguymike: please dont act like louis vuitton just came out and they are surviving on rapper money to survive, this is a brand that has been around since way before my grandmother was pulling cigarettes out of her louis vuitton cigarette holder and giving me pennies from her louis vuitton change purse. louis vuitton best customers are rich people and that includes the wealthy as well as that new money. and wealthy folks been buying louis vuitton luggage, bags, etc… since way before rap music even started.
im not sure louis vuitton is tarnishing their image but they definitely dont owe any damn thing to kanye, louis vuitton will always be a staple in the fashion world with or without kanye, they may be indulging kanye a bit too much for my liking though.
