Kanye West shows all four Louis Vuitton Dons

Last evening we posted a solid red colorup of the new Louis Vuitton Dons designed by the self proclaimed Louis Vuitton Don himself, Kanye West. The shoes were featured in a fashion show on the feet of the runway models, but Mr. West took a quick pick with all four colorways of the upcoming sneaker. Besides the solid red, the Louis Vuitton Dons were made in all white, beige with a black sole, and solid black.
Though the uppers of the shoes are monochromatic, a mixture of materials are anything but monotonous. Kanye opted for a mixture of rich leather, suede, and patent leather on the upper of the Louis Vuitton Dons. No release information or pricing has been made available at this point, but from checking eLuxury, prices for comparable sneakers start in the $600 range.

everyone bin talking about how expensive these louis vuitton dons are, but to tell u the truth i would pay up to $1000 for a pair of the red ones, but i carnt find any where i can buy them, so if anyone knows the best place plz let me kno, am huge kanye west fan.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm yeah NO the picture is not clear what so ever so cant see if the shoe is worth $600 bucks. BUT I will NOT and I mean NOT spend that much for a pair of sneakers EVER, I can buy my daughter and myself a gang of clothes or pay my rent with that SORRY.. Kayne I love you and all BUT REALLY where did that figure come from. Your CDs dont even cost that damn much (I have them all) and your charging that much for a shoe , I understand that $600 is chump change to you but regular folk like myself that’s ALOT… So sorry that’s one thing I cant support you on buddy, I am struggling enough as it is and trying to make it day by day. So good luck with the shoe but this fan cant afford such a shoe.

I agree with #40. LV is a company that’s seriously about brand protection. That’s why they are probably going to be more than $600. They don’t want anyone who isn’t up to what they think is a quality customer rockin their sh*t. Unfortunately the very people they don’t want wearing it are the ones who are going to stop paying any and all bills to be able to rock them.
These are nice, I’m really feeling the red ones. I will be copping the all pink female version though

Without a doubt I’m probably going to end up copping the red ones. Those are the sexiest ones I’ve seen so far.
This brings heat and exclusivity to anyone’s sneaker collection and the “fly kids” as they call themselves in new york wont be jumping on these anytime soon unless you see some dudes in harlem come out with these on and a MontClaire to match.
You can definetly expect to see the real sneaker heads with that rich kid type swag to jump on these tho. THEREFORE! I’m on these as the first i’ll be happy to make my pocket dry for these xD
And as for the price range you can expect these to be running in the same price range as the Patent Leather Prada American Cup’s which is 300-450 and 460+ for the special edition and material Prada’s.
The red ones are sexy tho. I can’t lie that picture came out hot and my son kanye is fresh.

Jordans arent in the same footwear category, let alone the target market/demographic, as these LV shoes. So you cant even really compare the two.
Jordans are mass-produced for everyone (as ‘limited’ some may be) as compared to Louis’ output. LV’s stock and high-end rep would plummet if everyone could their hands on their product. Imagine these shoes if they were $150? Exactly. Everyone and their momma would cop them. Thus, dropping the value of the shoe. Basic business/econ: rare commodities fetch higher value, common resources for less.

it’s not as much as Kanye’s pricing decision. it’s Louis Vuitton. the same company who sells $200 scarves - yes, a glorified bandana for $200.
