Nike Air Force 1 2009 All-Star by DJ Clark Kent

This year, many will travel to Phoenix, Arizona to take part in the 2009 NBA All-Star festivities. Besides watching basketball at its finest, the NBA All-Star Game is also a venue where exclusive sneakers make their debut. Although we have seen a couple of All-Star PEs already, one should be on the look out for this Nike Air Force 1 “2009 All-Star”. Carefully created and designed by none other than DJ Clark Kent himself, this sneaker screams Phoenix. From Arizona’s landscape to the Phoenix Suns’ colorway, there are many inspirations and details that coincide with the home of 2009’s NBA All-Star Game. The multi-textured upper features a predominately desert-tan nubuck upper inspired by the sandy desert of Arizona. The desert-tan toe box and side panels also feature a micro-perf texture. Continuing with the Arizona theme, the rest of the sneaker contains the Phoenix Suns colorway in the form of a purple patent leather heel and a full grain yellow leather swoosh. Also colored in the latter color mentioned is the piping bordering the side panels and the Nike logo tag found on the tongue. To finish Nike Air Force 1 “2009 All-Star” off, DJ Clark Kent added an orange leather-wrapped midsole and a gum bottom. In addition, this sneaker comes with three sets of laces including the 3M Starks laces seen in the photo above. Look for the 2009 All Star Air Force Ones to jump off in mid February. Knowing Clark, these won’t release in a very orthodox manner. Stay tuned for more details and updates. More photos after the jump from Marquee Sole. . |

I take back my first comment. These are straight fire especially with the Starks laces. I would rock one shoe with the purple laces and the other with the orange laces

Contrary to some you guys’ belief, these are some good touches. phoenix color scheme, gum bottom as the desert sand. The only thing that bothers me is the leather midsole, makes them look kinda cheap. But given the right gear, you can pull these off.

knowing Mr Kent they’re not gonna be available to us country sneaker fiends i mean nobody cators to us especially this guy i mean we got humble collections and have to compete with a bunch of idiots who don’t know the difference between a knockoff and a legit so their collections are massive (like 65 a pair)and ours are humble (80-120 a pair) but still super heated

The blocking coulda been interesting, but crazy blocking + crazy colors just comes out bad. You wanna use loud colors, keep the blocking simple. You wanna use complex blocking, use simple colors.

Much respect to Clark for getting Starks in the loop. You can tell that CK is a real dude for making sure that someone from the culture gets connected in the deal.
As for the shoes, I have never been a Phoenix fan, but I have to get these. Consider these copped (if I don’t have to fly to Phoenix for them :-P)
