Posted by Matt Halfhill | Jan 30, 2009 Last year Nike brought back a number of classics, but 2009 is filled with many greats making a return as well. Nike made a major push after the baseball market in the mid-90’s with a number of campaigns involving Ken Griffey, Jr.
Griffey wore a number of Nike cross trainers and cleats over his young career, but in 1996, Nike blessed him with his first signature shoe, the Nike Air Griffey Max. These joints remind me of the days when Brandy and Monica were at each others necks over a dude…lol, I think Ray j had his on during the last episode of For the love of Ray J. He had a good interview after he did nite tales on Tennis shoes. He spoke on his top pairs of all time. Does anyone know when nite tales is supposed to drop?

Man i remember when these joints came out me and my cousin cut school that morning to get these and went back intime for homeroom cats was on dem like way and after homeroom or school they was going downtown to get’em so you know i,m gone drop a few yards on these might get 2 or 3 CLASSIC!!!!! #103 the bubbles are smaller now bc nike doesnt fill the bubbles w/ the same chemicals bc it was bad for the earth wen they popped so its a whole new system they use…u can google it for more info…

These sneakers + 96 Ken Griffey Jr’s baseball for SNES are classics. Griffey was the standard for elite ball players in the 90’s. Too bad his injuries didn’t let him blow up the record books like he could have. I don’t know why y’all promote Osneaker on this site everything on there is always at least 50% over priced.

I remember having these, I loved them so much, the white sole turned yellow so fast, I was devastated. Of course I was like 13 at the time so I didn’t grasp the concept of taking care of my stuff. I also remember having the Griffey 2’s in Mariners colors and I had the white/black cleats. I remember watching him wear these on the turf in the Kingdome, was he the first baseball player to have his own signature shoe?
