Nike Classic Cortez “Forrest Gump”

Already considered a classic running sneaker, Nike is set to release the infamous Nike Classic Cortez in its orginal colorway. If you recall, this exact Nike Classic Cortez was worn by Forrest Gump during his famous run. It features a predominately white leather upper with a red swoosh and heel. It also contains a blue-striped midsole. This colorway of the Nike Classic Cortez along with others has started popping up at retailers including Overkill. Keep an eye out for an updated makeup featuring Flywire technology too! |

I remember this shoe from Farrah Fawcett’s famous skatebord scene in Charlie’s Angels, in 1976. They are the coolest shoe!

The shoebox should be made to look like a giant box of chocolates that would be official. As for me, I’m from South Central LA and the Nike Cortez has a strong connotation with gangbanging, so I’m going to have to pass. Nevertheless, the color way is classic and the film is timeless.

those joints are classic, i think it would be cool if they laser etched forrest on them while on the bench.dont ball in cortez cause you’ll break your own ankles,great for jogging are walking in well calculated lines..lol trust me

THESE WILL BE FUSED WITH AIR FORCE 1S NEXT. I LOVE NIKE CORTEZ; I HAD MY FIRST PAIR IN 2ND GRADE=BLACK/WHITE IN 1990 AND MY 2ND AIR IN 2007 THE NAVY/WHITE PAIR. THESE ARE TOO PLAIN FOR ME BUT I FEEL WHOEVER BUYS THEM.

They are definitely classics, but maybe the word “infamous” was used because of its popularity with gangmembers.
But they are infmaous or classics, which ever, they are still sick and a definite buy^2.

those cortez’s are classics, NOT infamous. you throw that word around on here way too much. infamous, in its most simplistic definition is something that is well known for being bad, and these cortezes are hardly considered bad by me or, i would guess, anyone else.

I like the history. The shoe - not so much. Although it’s a clean and simple colorway. Wearing it doesn’t show that you’re a sneakerhead, however.
But it’s cool that Nike take things back.
