Sneaker Geeks: 12 of the Best Cartoon Inspired Sneakers

Sneaker Geeks: 12 of the Best Cartoon Inspired SneakersToday we launch the third and final installment of our Sneaker Geeks series involving cartoon-inspired sneakers. Whether we admit it or not, many of us grew up watching cartoons such as the Simpsons, Bugs Bunny (hint hint), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and many others. Although some of our most memorable cartoons are no longer on air, watching one episode or getting one glance of them would undoubtedly bring us back to our childhood years. With that said, we have compiled a list of sneakers inspired by prolific cartoons.

In this list, you will find some of your favorite cartoons displayed on a few sneakers in a very creative way. Click the picture to view 12 of the best cartoon-inspired sneakers.

Those ninja turtles are dope though they would have been better as lows or highs, im feeling those charlie browns but again i would love them as low’s or high, maybe because i hate the strap on the mid’s. the Venom, spiderman and batman’s could have been 100 times better, theres so many things that could have been done to them, i was in japan a couple of years ago and I ran across the spider man dunk low’s and they were amazing they had the webbing and everything, i would love to see some venoms with webbing and othr details from his costume. i customize sneakers so when i see potentially great sneakers done half-assed it makes me wonder why, because i know nike and all the other companies have the resources… me i have to work with what i can find… i think the spy vs. spy idea is a winner and hose tweeties are a bit weird for that type of shoe but that’s just my opinion.

im getting ready to post all my customs on my myspace page…
Sole Collector’s the name… look me up and let me know what u think, i have a couple on there now but i have a lot in the works.

  15. Simba

i know you have the nike sb marvel comics pack….but what about the bape comic pack…i think the bape one was better

  16. ENDs

those hares r sick, i like the venoms and the quagmires a lot also

  17. jerseycitystandup

those ninja turtle dunks are sexy

  18. faraz

the charlie browns look more like homer with the black zig zag for the hair and the blue denim for his pants. white misdose for his shirt and the yellow rear pannel for skin color

  19. stevenb

Charlies browns were canned late last year… guess they thought they needed to save material for the thin-tongued lows?

  20. b

did the charlie brown mids come out?

  21. LANDO45

  26. shane

  28. christina

    hares <3

  29. nikefiend10

    word these are fresh

  30. balloutb

Like # 24 i thought I stayed on top of my kicks, but I never seen some of these kicks such as the Marge dunks and Charlie Brown They both r nice, I must b losing it in my old age.

  31. NYswagg

the scarface acg boots were so ill those should have been thrown up here too

  32. BKost

Wtf….. Marges shouldnt have been nearly that high. And also as much as I like the NB spy vs spys, Puma did it much better on one of my favorite sneakers, the sky hi.

  33. Mr. Willson

I don’t agree with much of this list. If these were some of the ‘best’ cartoon inspired sneakers, compared to what I have seen released before, this list isn’t saying much. Most of these releases are mediocre at best, IMO.

As for the “Spy v. Spy”, I like them both releases either way, but gotta give the edge to Puma. They had hidden stash pockets! *lol* :P

  34. sneakerfittedguy

Homer SBs could TECHNICALLY be called SOMEWHAT “Homer” inspired; however, not by the Homer we’re thinking about. On the insole, there is a picture of a Cyclops, which was a big topic in Greek mythology which was significantly documented by the poet HOMER… but I could be wrong, considering I just read all of that off of Solepedia. LOL, definitely not too reliable.

  35. JoseBronx_NT

    nice list

    hare #1 :)

    and

    “Gigiddy, gigiddy, gigiddy, gigiddy…oh yeah!”
    lol

  36. RICHARDTW

I LIKE MOST OF THESE….N IDK WHRE DA HELL I BEEN, BUT I HAVNT SEEN SOME OF THESE, LIKE THE CHARLIE BROWNS OR DA TWEETY BIRDS, BUT THEY MOST OF EM R HARD…I LKE DAT COLORWAY ON DA BATMAN DUNKS, IM JUS NOT THAT MUCH OF A FAN OF THE MIDs.

  37. KEARNEY

gil zero tweety birds..but no homer’s this list is dumb

  38. NYswagg

the marge simpsons and the hare jordans were the best but they should have thrown the kermit the frog dunks up there those should have been # 1 go on pickyourshoes.com under nike dunks to go see what im talkin about if u have no idea what im sayin lol

  39. Derrick Greenwood

Da Venom’s are a lazy colorway but they r still fresh. And I must cop da Mighty Marges

  40. killakickskid17

man i was at the puma boutique in paris and i slept on these!!!! y????

  41. jcool813

    Woah woah woah woah

no Homer SBs???? those look way better than the marge’s imo

Didn’t expect the Hares. Forgot they were inspired by bugs

  42. Wonda Bread

some of those dunks should have been closer to # 1

  43. Ikon Radio

I think the video game systems was the best installment…. but all were FIRE :)

  44. FP of Bel air

dammmm son some of the kicks in this list are tight, the charlie brown ones n the hero/villans ones are fresh, im gona try n cop the spiderman ones

  45. biggrizzly

yall should do a Saturday Morning Series with the HR Pufnstufs, The Pee Wee’s, the Smurf dunks, Ultraman dunks, the Miss Piggy Blazers, The Kermit Dunks, and so forth.

  46. Retrosaurus Rex

#11 YOU TOOK THE WORDS OUT OF MY MOUTH/ I THINK THEY WERE BASED ON THE MOVIE. I GOT THEM LIKE 5 MONTHS AGO OFF EBAY SO ILL BE HURTING EM WHEN IT GETS WARM BECAUSE THE IIIS DROP THIS SPRING/ SUMMBER BUT NOT THAT COLORSCHEME.

  47. Nice Kicks

We def did not forget about the Simpsons x Vans, trust me. Since that collection coincided with the release of the Simpsons Movie, they got their proper due in the Sneaker Geeks Movie list.

  48. chez187

i know they on the movie top sneaks but still the movie was inspired by the cartoon.

  49. chez187

    where are the transformers trainers!!

  50. SimplySneakers.com

Cool Post! That Cheech Wizard book cover this str8 up weird!!…but my top picks are the Hares, Charlie Browns, and Marges…

  51. jsrgreat

^^comment #3 by nice kicks - one more thing, the sb “homers have just as much right to be on the list as the donatello’s- for anyone who picked up the SB issue of sole mag., the inspiration for those dunks had nothing whatsoever to do with the teenage mutant ninja turtles.

  52. SNEAKERSSSSS

Matt im sorry but you totalllllllyyyyyy forgot about the Simpsons Vans my friend. You have to add those! they would take #2 off the bat.

  53. jsrgreat

^^comment #3 by nice kicks -what about the simpsons x vans pack, those definitely should have been up there instead of several of the others chosen.
^prophesy - i agree with you 100%, the spy vs. spy pumas should have been on the list instead of the new balance kicks.

  54. Bugz

Hare’s are obviously the best, but the Voltron ones are sick.

  55. Prophecy

Like the kicks but dont agree with the order. the spy vs spy Pumas should be up there instead of the spy vs spy NB in my opinion.

  56. jthan

cartoon was the best series.man im still lookin for those bugs bunny j’s that look like his foot

  57. Nice Kicks

“Homer” was a nickname sneaker dorks like myself gave the shoe - no clear inspiration or theme. If one were to look at the insole you’ll know where we were coming from on this. Leader photo made you think they would be on there though didn’t it :-P

  58. t!minor

hold on, no homers?!? don’t know if i can cosign that. good list, don’t know that i agree with the order. the charlie browns are mean.

  59. Leu4

Dudee Fck seriously the Venom Dunks look lyk its
colorway was made in 3 days by lazy designers
cmon nike dont let another sloppy colorway get away!
