“Think Pink” Nike Hyperdunk
Posted by Nick Engvall | Jan 8, 2009 The month of February will see alot of pink, but Nike has a different type of love in mind. Nike has teamed up with Kay Yow Cancer Fund to release a series of Nike Pink Products to raise money for the fight against breast cancer. Releasing at all three House of Hoops locations will include special edition Nike Hyperdunks and other gear with all proceeds benefiting the cause.
Yow is the coach of NC State’s women’s basketball team and is currently on leave battling breast cancer for a third time. The gear available will include the two kicks, as well as the shirt and basketball seen, which features the Kay Yow Cancer Fund logo, (the pink NC State jersey will not be available). Kay is an inspiration for more than just her team, but to the entire NCAA women’s basketball program, as you will see a number of these pink shoes on the court when February rolls around. Check out the gear and both of the kicks after the break thanks to Foot Locker. |

some of you on here sound like real asses! it’s a colorway that promotes the fight against breast cancer! only the ladies b ball teams will wear them, not the men’s nc state team! get it together!

darneezy; if y0u do it; you’ll get my bread/make it happen. my mom died from that sh-t 12-15-2006; i feel the cause/i’ll give the kicks to my wife though
Jan 9, 2009 at 3:17 am
I agree!
That’s why I’m seriously gonna start trying to take the proper steps, in brining a shop/boutique TO NC and the Raleigh-Durham area.
I know a guy who works with Citysole/Kick-R-Us and Extra Butter.
If he moves to NC, as planned, we will make sh!t happen!
Guaranteed!

once again, NIKE has left us (NC) out of da picture. How they gonna sell this without sellin’ them atleast n Raleigh, or Charlotte. I still love da idea. My girl’s grandma just won her battle wit breast cancer, so I’ll support it 100%.

“Real men wear pink, and real men fight cancer. It’s a win-win.”
Very well said!

Chuckindubs - NC State’s Mens program is Adidas, but the Women’s team is still Nike.
I wish I could get my hands on a pair of these for myself, little sister and for the cause.
I’m gonna keep my eyes peeled, but I know my luck is gonna be shot… as usual.
