White Men Can’t Jump x Nike Air Flight Lite High?
Posted by Matt Halfhill | Jan 20, 2009 As much as there has been a long following for the Marty McFly’s from Back to the Future, there has been a fan base for Billy Hoyle’s Nike Air Command Forces from the classic White Men Can’t Jump.
The early 90’s film lends inspiration for the colors chosen on this pair of Nike Air Flight Lite Highs that just released at the House of Hoops and are available online at osneaker. While the colors are loud and vibrant like what many wore in the 90’s no where in the film do I remember Billy Hoyle wearing this mish-mash of neon-tones nor have there ever been a pair of Air Command Forces. So, I suppose a better question should be, should these be remembered as the “White Men Can’t Jump” or “White Men Can’t Dress”? |

It was hysterical to see the movie white men can’t jump and then see a white man win a slam dunk contest. I just wish more white brothers played the game. With a brain already a pound heavier and still winning the slam dunk competition it’s really something spectacular.

I like the Air Flight Lite High, and I like the colors themselves, but the amount of color is just too much. The green (and other colors) worked on the Air Command Force because it had a restrained application on the midsole and sole.
I like the icy sole with the orange Nike Air logo.

billy ho wore the david robinson joints with the neon on the heel. Sidney d wore the flight lites. its a good reference to the movie through the shoes each character wore. dont forget that the opriginal colorway of the flight lites had the blue and orange at the heel. gerald wilkins anyone?
