The Air Jordan 2009 made its debut in limited fashion to the tune of 2009 pairs two weeks ago, but this weekend will see the first general release. The Air Jordan 2009 will drop Saturday, February 14th for $190. Honestly, they’re not too bad. I got mine on Saturday at FootLocker in Austin, TX and the guy told me he had barely sold like 3, with mine either being the 3rd pair or the soon-to-be 4th. Last I checked they were like in a full size run on Saturday morning on Footlocker, Finishline, Champs, and Footaction websites. I know the design isn’t the most appealing, but that price tag is a little ridiculous. Still, I don’t think we’ll see them drop to like $100-$120, though. They planned for this one wrong, I think. JB has got to listen to the fans next time. Release kicks we want. Release colorways we want. The 2K9s don’t even have a good cushioning in the rear. The XX3s and XIX had superior cushioning compared to this one. But still, a nice shoe, but I usually tend to fall in love with the least favorite of the Js…

OMG!!! If you don’t like them, more power, but I have been wearing them all day for the last two days and they are absolutely beauriful. Quality-check, comfort-check, and the pictures of this shoe just do not do it proper justice, looks-check, a fantastic shoe. You have to see how the shoe is shaped, it’s amazing. DO NOT SLEEP!!!

back in the day people slept on the 11 in 95-96 so go buy this shoe is great. I was able to get four size 12 air jordan 11 back then for $50 each because people slept.

Ha- haters; this shoe is sick. Hella comfortable and definitely blends nicely w/ all the rest of the J’s. These feel way better than the 11/12’s from the CDP and the Spizikes. 22’s and 24’s are pretty comfortable, but the material seems to be made of high quality (compared to the cheaper stuff in the CDP’s).

you know its funny to me where i live out of all the jordan that came out today the only ones that sold out are the 6 rings and everybody hates on 6 rings but they are the only ones that are sold out the black max orange ones sold preety well but are still on shelves the two lows sold preety well the pewters didnt do so good but the guy at mr.alans told me they didnt sell one 2k9 lol thats sad

Very ordinary looking and plain, including the color. What happened to the old days, when the j’s were cool. 3,4,5,6,7,11,13. The last 10 or 11 j’s look ugly to me. I don’t get it. Don’t they read people’s (customer’s) opinions on the styles that come out. Just cause they put their name on something, doesn’t mean people will like it. I’m sure the technology is there, but what good is it if they are ugly. It’s OK to advance in technology, but give the shoe some style, instead of being boring.

Bring back retro’s!!!! There are still orginal colors that have not been relesed that the true sneraker collector wants! I’m not going to pay $190 for that, but I would pay for a pair of Blk/Red 6’s, 9’s, or 12’s . Or the Olympic 6’s blu and white.(Oh Hell Yea!!!) If anyone from Jordan is listening, give us what we want classic design (close to orginal as possible), and at an affordable price! That’s all we ask for. I see you and your Jordan 2008 on the clearence rack real soon.

that big v on the side and the heel and no visible 23 on them killed the shoe for me. i got jordans 1-23(atleast 3 from each series) and a few un-numbered like spizikes but if i bought these they wouldnt leave the closet/ i cant do it and im not the type to drop 200 bucks to ball in kicks and destroy them: thats what hurraches,etc…… are for

I agree with you faded8119. The box is good. Ive examined the shoe up close and the material that it was made is far from the other numbered Jordans. Really a rip off! Whether they say that it is because of a new technology or something, i still feel that its not worth it. For Jason Mayden, you know how JB reeked in all that money as well as the contentment of its comsumers. Stick with the game plan. Revolutionize it a bit but still, stick with the plan, bring back that “jordanesque” quality that started sneakerheads around the world.

it’s not that I hate the 2009 like I did the AJ19. It looks very high quality. But the outsole’s profile view makes it look like a chick’s high heel shoe, and the heel looks like a frickin camel-toe from underneath. I dislike the separated outsole look. The toebox isn’t that good either. The rest is just passable.

these sneakers are hot. i liked em wen pics first surfaced. wat i dont think most of u understand is that JB manufacters BASKETBALL sneakers. sneakers that are made more for performance reasons. not sneakers you cud wear with a pair of jeans or watever. i could be wrong but i think that’s what the majority of people think. yes if i were to wear these with a pear of jeans, they wouldn’t look too good. but on the basketball court, with a matchin pair of shorts or a whole team uniform, these joints are hot. take for a example the new kobe 4s. i think those are one of the hottest basketball kicks out right now. but picture wearing them with a pair jeans to school or just hanging out. you’ll look like ass.

i’ve had the white pair for about 3 weeks now and wore them a couple of times and they def don’t crease like you might think. i’m careful in my shoes always but once i cleaned the bottoms off they look deadstock again that panache leather is quality. The black S23’s are dope too if you can get your hands on them don’t sleep i got them both just so i could wear the white ones and when people say they are ahead of their time they mean it, the comfort and quality is a whole new level for Jordans

They should have made the Jumpman symbol on the tongue a different color, something that stands out. That alone would have made them 100% better

I think the pictures actually make them look better than they actually look… but I guess i will see on Saturday when i go and see for myself.
I think they look ok. I actually like the “heel” of them. I love the unique marble look and the vents, but that’s about it.
I don’t play ball in super expensive sneakers (not yet anyway lol) so I won’t get tjhem for that so the only reason why I would get them is for looks… and they don’t look that great (well not 190 dollars great).

I hate the pointed tongue and that green thing is just awful. I know there is probably a reason why the heel is shaped like that but it takes away from the beauty of the gray marble above it. The back of the shoe just has to much goin on and the toe box look so vulnerable to creases that I would be scared to walk in these jonies. Detailed pics call for detailed comments.
